Warning, negative opinions, proceed carefully if you are feeling overly patriotic today.
For me personally, I take this ceding territory fiasco to Chinese in a very grave manner. I could have understood if we lost to China, but we gave up without a fight.

Although I understand due to the current crisis situation of COVID & world disorder, this might not be an optimal time for an attack on Chinese, so I will observe till 2022 BJPs rule. Let the crisis get over and Babus get their balls back from quarantine storage. But after that, I will make sure BJP loses every vote from my friends and family, and whoever I can convince.

I blame both govt. and army for this. Yeah, I know armed forces on this forum are beyond criticizing, but everyone in defence echelons knows how armed forces higher-ups suck up to political parties for promotion & amenities.
Army won't even allow ground soldiers to swing a stick at Chinese until an order comes from higher-ups.
But when such orders are bypassed by local commanders, we see the speed we can break the necks of batmunchers.

Overall China called India's bluff of a two-front war, and now Pakistan (as well as Nepal) knows at the moment when shit gets real, baniya drops its dhoti.

For those people who say we won/lost nothing -
  • China captured PP14 bank even after we broke their necks. Its the ground reality.

  • Although a disputed territory between F8-F4, we patrolled till F5-F6. Now Chinese has effectively blocked us from F4 and set up bunkers over the F3-F4 ridge. Don't think we can now reach F4 anymore without clashing with Chinese.
    • Those who are failing to understand, and keep repeating "Chinese road was already there, we never patrolled till F5 etc etc" - Let's say you & your neighbour claim a piece of land. A court case is going on upon whose land actually it is. One day, your neighbour hires gundas and they stop you from entering the premises, while your neighbour starts building on it.

Did you lost nothing as it was a "disputed land"? No, you lost the land to the other party.
  • India lost its respect in front of Army & its citizens. Who eagerly hoped govt. will defend their land.

  • Armed forces lost its credibility, now all hollow talk of two-front war, capturing PoK, defeating Pakistan, our military superiority is out on debate table.
I wish you all the luck for convincing your family, friends and acquaintance to not vote for BJP henceforth.

It will be interesting to read your articles post in 2024 May/June time.😊

Rahul Gandhi has skipped all 11 meetings of standing committee on defence since September

New Delhi:
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has not attended a single meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence since its formation as part of the 17th Lok Sabha last year.

The committee has met 11 times since September 2019, with the last meeting having been convened on 12 March. According to the Lok Sabha website, Gandhi, who is a member of the committee, hasn’t attended any of these meetings.

The committee is a departmentally related standing committee (DRSC) of select members of Parliament. It is one of the 24 DSRCs, including on agriculture, commerce, human resource and development, among others.

The defence parliamentary committee has a total of 31 members — 21 from the Lok Sabha, nominated by its speaker, and 10 from the Rajya Sabha, nominated by its chairman. It is responsible for examining bills pertaining to the Ministry of Defence (MoD), along with other defence-related issues of importance in Parliament. The term of office for the members of the committee does not exceed one year.

BJP MP Jual Oram, who is the chairman of the committee, refused to comment on Gandhi’s absence.

However, some other BJP leaders ThePrint spoke to attacked Gandhi, saying the leader who skipped these meetings is now criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the India-China border standoff.

The Congress, meanwhile, defended Gandhi, saying his absence from these meetings has no bearing on the LAC situation.

‘Rahul merely trying to score brownie points’
The committee’s functions include considering the demands for grants of the MoD, examining bills pertaining to the MoD, examining the annual report of MoD, considering national basic long-term policy documents presented to both Houses, and make reports on all their examinations.

Seen as ‘mini parliaments’, the parliamentary standing committees are said to have immense importance. They vet bills and analyse policy changes. The recommendations made by these committees is in no way binding, but their reports do hold weight.

The BJP leaders ThePrint spoke to said Gandhi’s absence from the parliamentary committee meetings shows his “lack of seriousness” on matters of governance.

“He is speaking so vociferously on the India-China issue, constantly attacking the government. But the parliamentary committee is where he could have made real contributions, but chose not to. This just shows his level of seriousness on issues of governance,” BJP leader Bizay Sonkar Shastri told ThePrint.

Shastri also said the Congress leader’s attack on the border situation with China is “merely to score brownie points”.

Gandhi’s constant criticism of the central government over the India-China border standoff included a pun on the PM’s name, calling the latter “Surender Modi” for ‘surrendering’ territory to China.

More recently, the Congress leader also said that “Ladakhis…are screaming a warning” and ignoring it “will cost India dearly”.

The Congress, however, said at a time when the country is facing a border stand-off with China, the focus shouldn’t be on Gandhi’s attendance in the parliamentary committee meetings.

“His absence from the meetings is not the reason why India is facing an LAC stand-off with China. It isn’t the reason why we witnessed the first deaths at the LAC in the last 45 years,” said party spokesperson Jaiveer Shergil.

The Congress also attacked Modi for “being the only PM to take 9 official visits to China” — five times as PM and four times as the chief minister of Gujarat.

“Modi needs to explain how despite his bonding with Xi Jinping, this could happen in the country,” Shergil added.

being a “vibrant” democracy & advocate for rules based world order, it is difficult for India to go back on agreements made with CCP.

second best option is to strive towards solving the inherent internal chinks in our armour created by both marxists & maoists. It’s a slow, cumbersome & non-eye catchy process, but it needs to be done anyways.
Sorry this is one area where our establishment doesn't seem to be intrested in.
We have been seeing the game of spin & twist by secular-left-liberal cabal for 6 yrs, yet no hammer from our gov.

secular-left-liberal cabal helping Modi to get into power.
Their hate against Modi translate into vote share increase. To change things, You need to be on top of power center, and this guy knows this well.

1st priority is to get majority in Rajya sabha, which will happen in Nov this year, and get the power in West B.

Majority in Rajya Sabha does not matters. Joint Parliamentary Session will do.

No bro. RS does required to pass
1. Money Bill (ex. GST)
2. Constitution Amendment Bill (Ex. revoking 370, Triple Talak bill, CAA, J&K and Ladakh UT)

You can not pass above 2 in Joint session.

Why so you think BJP is waiting? Why do you think UCC, Population bill, Abolishing all minority appeasement laws, abolishing religion based laws have not passed yet?

WE DO NOT HAVE RS MAJORITY.

but no worries after NOV this year we will have 122 seats (NDA) in Parliament and majority is 122 (3 seats vacant)

I don't agree with first part ...
We have given this cabal long rope, now time to act swiftly..... Same gang is responsible for Anti CAA riots, Shaheen Bagh & Delhi riots. Their stranglehold is still stronger over our institution than Bjp & sister organization. Remember the case how same cabal harrassed a fruit seller who put up banner on his shop.
Brother. pls see rise in BJP vote share after Anti CAA riots, Shaheen Bagh. Look at the swing at BJP vote share.
This is what give BJP power.

Think deep.

Brother I know the trend ...
What do you feel what we voted for in favour of BJP? We vote them to root out this gang completely, liberate Indians from their 24*7 blackmailing, else BJP incompetence won't be tolerated for too long.

I don't think BJP will get Majority in Rajya Sabha in any reasonable scenario even till 2024. But it can pass controversial Bills by Joint Session (except Constitutional Amendments). Even this majority in Joint Session has come this year in 2020.

The max Tally estimated to be reached by BJP in RS is 100 by end of 2021. Thereafter in next round in July 2022, its tally will start decreasing slowly. Also AIDMK, its strong supporter will lose most of its seats in 2022.

Therefore window to push any major legislative agenda is between June 2021 to June 2022.

Land Acquisition Bill (which was shelved in term 1) needs to be passed. We need to attract investment which is moving away from China
