Babur tried to disrupt
war game
.
.

The Pakistani warship that triggered a diplomatic
squabble between India and Pakistan ahead of the
foreign secretary level talks is a 'history-sheeter'
that came dangerously close to Indian warships
in the Arabian Sea thrice in the past eight months
and even tried to disrupt war games being
conducted by the Indian Navy in international
waters.
Details have now emerged that show that the
PNS Babur has a history of aggressive behaviour
at sea and last Thursday's incident when it
brushed past the INS Godavari while escorting
the MV Suez is the third time that it has
deliberately taunted Indian warships. It is also
speculated that all three incidents are related to the
Captainof the Pakistani warship, Azhar Naeem,
who spent three years in the ISI before taking
charge of the ship recently.
Source said that the first incident was recorded in
November last year when Indian warships were
taking part in the Defence of Gujarat Exercise. The
Babur came dangerously close and attempted to
disrupt the war game.

The action was repeated in January when it
attempted to interfere in war games in the
Arabian Sea.
In both cases, the Babur breached the three mile
distance that is followed by warships of both
countries as part of CBMs. Sources said the Indian
Navy lodged a complaint in both cases.

LOL, only Pakistan Navy would name a warship after a foreign invader

Babur was from Uzbekistan. He is not a Punjabi or Sindhi or Pashtun or Baluchi. Silly Pakis!

Inferiority complex and lack of identity does that to people.

And the Pakis call that a "destroyer"?

Here's what an IN Kamorta-class corvette carries:
1 x 76.2mm naval gun
2 x AK630M six-barreled 30mm CIWS
6 x 3M54 Klub missiles
2 x RBU-6000 ASW rocket launchers
Barak SAM system

I daresay, our corvettes are better than their self-proclaimed "destroyers"?

Somebody need to scuttle that damn ship, launch one missile outside its engagement zone, just damage it seriously and play around it. The damn thing doesnt have an anti-ship weapon, we could easily stay at 50 KM away, launch some Styx and have popcorn. PNS BaPOOR would be a sitting duck.

I think the Navy should fire upon it the next time such an incident happens, that piece of shit can hardly be called a destroyer. Even a missile boat would be able to take it out.

What's the rule of engagement between two naval forces in peace time on high seas? I am sure India would be well within it's rights to defend itself from any aggressive looking boat even if it means sending that boat to the bottom of the sea.

guys , they have won a war since their first venture in 1948 to take kashmir , which as we know was sent reeling backwards by indian forces taking the whole territory and then giving them the rocky not easily difficult-terrain-to-live-in one-third of the state, which they have been clinging on to for dear life ....

so, as they havent won a real man's war since that long ways back, at least let them have some pretend small-time "victory" in some games , where it really doesnt count ?

I think any other naval force would have fired on it, it may be possible as two different ships need to maintain a distance of around 3 miles from each other....Just don't understand why IN didn't take any action.... I believe the issue could have escalated considering our relation with Pakistan.
