Also suggest a Laptop with good keyboard and screen. Need it mainly for MATLAB/Spice simulations.

Dont Fix too much on Brands.. For the work apps your quoted you would want more Core, Fast Ram and Fast SSD

I would Suggest Go with Ryzen 7 Series U or the normal 35w Version get a 15.4 inch FHD and

Make sure Laptop is Equipped with NVME SSD ... Asus/HP/Dell all the same.. lower ends skimp performance for Looks..

If you are into gaming, assemble your PC's.
A decent one would need around 2 Lakh....

Unless you are seriously about over-clocking, no point going for the costlier CPU's.
Having many cores don't matter for gaming, only clock speed matters.
On performance, AMD is cheaper,
Intel still is king

A Graphics card is must.
Would go AMD on this, can't go wrong with NVIDIA.

Unless you are serious gamer, avoid the high end ones,
Go for medium range ones, the performance increase is really not noticeable unless you are a serious gamer.

And yeah, always have a heatsink for your CPU...

I burned my hands with too many CLCs (after a couple of months the pump starts grinding). So I'll probably get a heavy air cooler like Noctua D15. Too lazy to do DIY liquid setups.

IMO
Water cooling doesn't worth it other than it's sexy looks.
Difference between a capable air cooler and Liquid cooling isn't much and water cooling is much more expensive.
