i revived my main PC some months back (have an HTPC or Home Theatre PC too, which i built last year; made that too gaming-ready, but not as powerful). previously, it was just eating dust since long. i had got it assembled as a *gaming PC* back in 2011. since then, i have changed only its GPU, that too, in March this year. earlier GPU was MSI N580GTX Lightning III. poor chap, remained HIGHLY under-utilised and then got sold off by me. all-in-all, my PC remains highly, highly under-utilised; have got 3 consoles to game on too and usually they eat away whatever amount of quality-time i could wriggle out of my schedule and could have spent with my main PC :D. anyway, my PC config is as follows:

CPU - intel core i7-2600k
Cooler - CM Hyper 212 ('X' or not, dont recall)
RAM - Gskill.Ripjaws X 8GB DDR3
GPU - Zotac GTX 1060 6GB mini
Sound Card - Asus Xonar DX
PSU - Corsair TX850
Cabinet - CM HAF X (with NZXT Sentry 2 cabinet fan-controller panel)
Monitor - BenQ G2420HD
Speakers - Edifier DA5000 Pro
Printer - Canon MP287 AIO
Storage - Zotac 240GB premium edition SSD; a 2TB seagate HDD + several more non-connected HDDs (internal + external)
Mice - Steelseries Rival 100 RGB; Razer Deathadder Chroma
Keyboards - Mantistek mechanical RGB; Logitech G510S
Headphones - Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma (have to sell); Audio-Technica ATH-M50x; Turtle Beach Ear Force PX5; Logitech G930; Steelseries 7H

and a couple of xbox controllers, a flying sim stick......

some pics of a few for a li'l 'show-off' :D .......

AMD Ryzen 2nd Gen processors have been launched, with some performance updates and lucrative pricing and most importantly 12nm manufacturing.

I've ordered this from Amazon...AMD Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHZ 6 Core Am4 Boxed Processor with Wraith Spire Cooler.

Costs Rs 15,000. Hope it's good! :confused1:

It's not Ryzen 2nd Gen mate, what you ordered is 1st Gen. 2nd Gen processors are 2000 series.

However congrats for your choice R5 1600 is a good processor.

I am in love with the Intel Hydes canyon NUC 2018 full specs edition:

This pocket rocket can run 4k games on 60 FPS on some AAA and even 120FPS on some other games.
This things rocks so many ports. Looks cool and can fit in my bag, essentially a full desktop gaming rig which is portable to carry.

Specs:
  • CPU: 3.1GHz Intel Core i7-8809G (quad-core, 8MB Cache, up to 4.2GHz)
  • Graphics: Radeon RX Vega M GH graphics (4GB HBM2 VRAM), Intel UHD Graphics 630
  • RAM: Kingston HyperX 16GB DDR4 (3,200MHz)
  • Storage: 118GB Intel Optane SSD 800P Series (NVMe), 512GB Intel SSD 545s Series (M.2 SATA)
  • Ports (front): 1 x USB-C 3.1 Gen 2, 1 x USB-A 3.1 Gen 2, 1 x USB-A 3.1 Gen 1, SD card reader, HDMI 2.0a
  • Ports (rear): 2 x Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C), 4 x USB 3.0, HDMI 2.0a, 2 x mini DisplayPort, 2 x Ethernet, optical audio out
  • Connectivity: Intel Wireless-AC 8265, Bluetooth 4.2
  • Weight: 2 pounds (0.91kg)
  • Size: 8.7 x 5.6 x 1.54 inches (22.1 x 14.2 x 3.9cm; W x D x H)

Too bad, it going to cost me a arm an a leg to get this, Full spec price goes to 1,25000 INR + Import duty + GST coming close to 1,60000 INR. Just hoping to arrive soon in India. So that I could get at a much lower price.

AMD Ryzen Eats Away 22% of Intel’s CPU Market in Japan in Less than a Year

As you can see, AMD has turned things around in less than a year, with the company reeling with a minority share of just 28% in the last quarter of 2018. Within just three quarters, that figure went up to 50.5%, pushing Intel to the sidelines. This is still nowhere as much as in Germany, but the consistency is absolutely remarkable. After the Zen 2 CPUs launch in two days, we can be sure that things will only get worse for Intel. They’ll need more than a 15% eduction in pricing to keep the playing field leveled. And in case you were wondering, Ice Lake isn’t coming to the desktop space anytime soon.

:rofl:yeah, I am trolling intel fanboys too much these days and enjoying it. Since a 200$ AMD processor defeats 450$ Intel processor, it's really a shame.

Now intel has been forced to innovate again, their inactivity and looting practice has pushed them 3-4 years back. Now AMD will enjoy supremacy for at least 2 years, which is enough to damage Intel's market value.
