TTP Distributes Leaflets In Afghanistan Seeking Donations For ‘Jihad’ In Pakistan

Journalists from Khyber Pakthuknwa have reported that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is raising funds from southern Afghanistan, after a leaflet asking people from Khost, Afghanistan for donations began circulating on social media.
The TTP is reportedly collecting donations from markets in Khost province, where the group has managed to remobilise following the Afghan Taliban’s return to power. The authenticity of the leaflet was confirmed by journalist Ihsanullah Tipu Mehsud who said he spoke to a TTP source.
“We’re doing what our brothers (Afghan Taliban) used to do (collect donations) in Pakistan”, the TTP source said.

In recent months, Pakistan has experienced an uptick of terrorism across the country, with some members of the government concerned that terrorist groups are reassembling.
The TTP claimed responsibility for an attack targeting two policemen in Islamabad in January.
Following the attack, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid acknowledged that the TTP had ramped up its attacks across the country after a brief ceasefire, but added that the government would not negotiate with the terrorist group again.
However, North Waziristan MNA and National Democratic Movement Chairman Mohsin Dawar in an article published in the Friday Times claimed that “local elders of the Wazir, Mehsud and Dawar tribes from North and South Waziristan are being used as jirgas to engage the TTP and other Taliban groups for talks in Afghanistan.”
In 2021, Pakistan experienced a 56 per cent increase in violent, militant attacks from the year prior. At least 388 people died and another 600 were wounded in terrorist attacks in Pakistan in 2021, according to Islamabad-based think tank Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS).

I'm so tempted to support them.
If its mission based, I can actually consider.
I mean, if they take out x-y-z, I can fund some $'s based on my eval of the target.
Or, I can give a target and pay as per execution?

ISLAMABAD: Four suspects allegedly affiliated with Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were arrested for allegedly trying to target political gatherings in the capital, police said on Tuesday.

However, they said, one of their accomplices managed to escape.

Police said explosives, detonators, ball bearings and iron nails were recovered from them, and a case was also registered against them at a police station of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) under 7- Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) and sections 4 and 5 of the Explosive Act. The four suspects were produced before a court from where they were transferred to police custody on four-day physical remand, they added.

According to the first information report (FIR), station house officer (SHO) of CTD police station got a tip about the presence of some suspects with explosives in Shakarparian and that they were planning a terrorist attack.

6 Pakistan soldiers killed in local Taliban attack

Islamabad:

At least six Pakistani soldiers were killed Wednesday in an attack on their base in the country's northwest claimed by the local version of the Taliban, the military said.

The attack in the city of Tank was claimed by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a separate movement that shares common roots with the militants that took power in Afghanistan last year.

"During intense exchange of fire, six soldiers, having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat (martyrdom)," Pakistan's military said.

In a statement, the TTP claimed to have killed or wounded more than 30 soldiers.

Two soldiers martyred, officer injured in Balochistan IBO

Two soldiers were martyred and an officer injured during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) by the security forces in Singi, near Mashkai in Balochistan, according to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday.

The military's media wing informed that the security forces conducted an operation in the area between the night of April 7 and 8 on information of the terrorists' presence. “During the operation, two valiant sons of soil, Naik Tajwali and Sepoy Osama embraced Shahadat while one officer got injured.”

The ISPR added that once the troops started establishing blocking positions in the area, terrorists tried to escape from their hideout and opened fire at security forces.

“2 terrorists have been killed in the ensuing heavy exchange of fire. These terrorists were involved in different security incidents in District Awaran and surroundings,”

The ISPR added that arms and ammunition were also recovered which were intended to be used by the terrorists for disrupting peace and security in the area.

“Security Forces remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan,” the communique added.

On March 22, at least two soldiers and three civilians were martyred during a terrorist attack in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Bajaur district, the military said in a statement.

According to the ISPR, the terrorists fired on security forces in Bloro area of the district which initiated a response from the security forces.

"Resultantly, four terrorists were killed. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists," it added.

The ISPR said that the militants remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.

Four FC men martyred in Sibi IED blast

QUETTA:

At least four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred and 10 other personnel injured in an improvised explosive device blast on an FC convoy in the Sangan area of Quetta’s Sibi district on Tuesday, a government official said.

The Baloch Liberation Army in an email sent to Reuters said it carried out the attack in which 10 soldiers were martyred.

The homemade bomb had been planted along a road in an area about 180km (113 miles) northeast of Quetta, Assistant Commissioner Sana Mahjbeen Umrani said.

A huge contingent of the FC and other law enforcement agencies reached the site and shifted the injured to Sibi hospital for medical treatment.

An emergency was declared at the hospital to provide medical treatment to the injured.
Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove strongly condemned the terror attack. In a statement issued after the blast, he said the terrorists behind the terror attack would be brought to justice.
