New Delhi: The arrival of two squadrons of the Rafale fighters will be a game-changer, Pakistan has realised. And in desperation, Pakistan has reached out to China for 30 J-10CE fighters and modern air-to-air missiles for its air force.

Pakistan had asked for the J-10 in 2009. But with the joint production of the JF-17 by China and Pakistan, the J-10 was placed in the backburner. Now, with the Rafales coming, discussions between China and Pakistan have begun again, high-level government sources said. Along with the J-10CE, Pakistan has asked for the PL-10 and PL-15, short-range and long-range air-to-air missiles respectively.

With the United States gradually getting close to India, China has become Pakistan's only supplier of sophisticated weapons. The J-10CE is the export version of the J-10 with the People's Liberation Army Air Force and has the AESA radar, fire-control systems and Infrared technology.

The Pakistan Air Force isn't just worried about the Rafale, which comes with the Meteor air-to-air missile and also, the Mica missile, that can be air-launched. The S-400 air defence system and the MR-SAM or Medium-range surface-to-air missile system will be considerable threats to PAF fighters.

The PAF is dependent on its 124 JF-17 fighters, co-produced with China, it's 70odd F-16s and the Mirage 3A. If, or rather, when the J-10CE arrives with the missiles, it will be another challenge for the IAF.

Still no match against rafale.

Rattled By Induction of IAF Rafale Jets, Pakistan Reaches Out To China For More Fighters And Missiles
New Delhi:
The arrival of two squadrons of the Rafale fighters will be a game-changer, Pakistan has realised.

Pakistan Could Acquire Semi-Stealth, 4.5 Gen Jets From China To Counter Indian Build-Up Of Rafales
As India is rapidly acquiring military hardware due to the possibility of a two-front conflict with China and Pakistan, Islamabad is exploring the latest missiles and jets from its key ally China including the J-10 fighters which are considered 4.5 generation jets similar to the advanced version of the F-16s of the US.

While the option for acquiring the J-10 jets had been on Pakistan’s table for quite some time it was halted with the joint production of the JF-17 fighter jets.

According to the sources quoted by Indian media, high-level government officers have informed that the discussions have resumed again among the Pakistani and Chinese officials for the procurement of J-10C jets for the PAF. Along with the J-10, Pakistan has also requested the PL-10 and PL-15 short-range and long-range air to air missiles.

Powered by a Russian engine giving it a maximum static thrust of approximately 123 kN, the single-engine tail-less canard delta wing J-10C is an upgraded version of its predecessors, sporting an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) fire control radar and is made of composite materials for high strength and lower weight.

As the US is gradually is cozying up with India and turning against Pakistan, China has become the sole vendor where Pakistan can purchase new aircraft ‘reliably’- two countries with a shared interest against India.

After the brutal clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers at Galwan valley, India ordered additional MiG-29 fighters from Russia which would be added with new technologies along with a Zhuk-AE AESA Radar, making it one of the most potent aircraft in the IAF fleet.

These upgrades would later be carried out on all MiG-29 jets in the Indian service, making it at par with any 4.5 generation plane. Similar upgrades are planned for the venerable Su-30MKI, which has recently been tested to carry the BrahMos and MICA missiles.

However, Pakistan is not worried just because of Rafales, MiG-29UPG, Su-30MKI, or the Tejas. India has also inked a deal with the Russians to procure one of the most advanced air defense systems in the world, the S-400 Triumf, for which deliveries would be starting by the next year.

The J-10CE (the export version of the J-10C), is expected to neutralize some of the Indian threats and pose an additional challenge for the Indian Air Force. Like the F-16, the J-10 possesses a highly agile, aerodynamically unstable airframe that is stabilized by a computer in its fly-by-wire flight control system. The J-10C model is believed to have capabilities similar to a 4.5-generation fighter jet something similar to Indian Rafales.

The most significant enhancement is the inclusion of an AESA radar. AESA radars are the current gold standard in air warfare, boasting higher resolution, and greater discretion and resistance to jamming. China appears to have taken a lead over Russia in deploying AESA radars on its latest fighters.

Though far from the capabilities of a true stealth fighter, these improvements still help decrease the range at which the J-10C can be detected and targeted and could provide Pakistan with an additional deterrence to stop further Balakot-type incidents.

Threatened by Rafale aircraft, panicky Pakistan rushes to China to buy fighter jets and missiles
In a major boost to the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) firepower, three more French Rafale multi-combat fighter jets are expected to arrive in India very soon. Five Rafale jets flew to the Ambala airbase via Abu Dhabi on July 29 and have already been inducted into the IAF’s Squadron 17. However, this has led to panic and tension in Pakistan and it has rushed to China begging for help.

Amid fear over India procuring Rafale jets, Pakistan is trying to buy more than 30 J-10 (CE) fighter jets and its missiles under emergency purchase from China. According to sources, in October, a team from Pakistan visited China and finalized the discussion of buying 50 J-10 (CE) fighter jets. Now, Pakistan is trying to procure 30 jets and missiles, out of the total 50, under emergency purchase.

Discussion of buying Chinese J-10 started in 2009: Pakistan started discussing the purchase of Chinese J-10 in 2009, but after the talk of joint production of JF17 jet started, it was put on hold. After the Rafale jet came to the Indian Air Force, Pakistan started that discussion again. According to sources, a 13-member team of Pakistani officials went to China on October 22 to finalize the deal.

Feature of J10 (CE) jets: The J10 (CE) is the export version of the J-10C of the Chinese Air Force and is believed to be of 4.5 generation. The J10 was inducted into the Chinese Air Force in 2006. It also has PL10 and air-to-air PL15 missiles up to 250 km apart from improved radar (AESA). This single-engine fighter jet can carry up to 6000 kg of arms at a time. It can fit 11 missiles or bombs.

Pakistan worried about Rafale's missiles: Pakistan's concerns are the air-to-air METEOR missiles in Rafale and the MICA missiles on the ground. There is no fighter jet of Pakistani Air Force equipped with these missiles. The Pakistani Air Force has the largest number of Chengdu J7, Mirage 3 and Mirage 5 which are five decades old and can be considered equivalent to MiG-21.

Even adding modern 110 JF17 and 75 F16, the number of good fighters is very less in front of the number of MiG-29, Mirage 2000 and Sukhoi 30 of the Indian Air Force. With the arrival of Rafal, this balance is completely tilted in favour of the Indian Air Force. The Pakistani Air Force is also concerned about the world's best S-400 air defence system, which is likely to be supplied to the Indian Air Force by 2021.

The five Rafale jets were inducted at the IAF’s Ambala airbase on September 10 in the presence of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his French counterpart Florence Parly. Under the 2016 agreement, India will get 36 Rafale jet from France as part of a Rs 59000 crore deal.

The next batch of three Rafales will arrive in Ambala airbase on November 4 directly from the Bordeaux-Merignac facility, according to sources. The three Rafales will reach Ambala by flying non-stop from France. They will also be accompanied by French Air Force fighter and mid-air refueller. With their arrival, the total number of Rafale aircraft in the Indian Air Force will reach eight.

The Rafale jets will fly directly from Istres in France to Jamnagar and they will be accompanied by French Air Force mid-air refuelling aircraft. A team of experts led by Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Projects) is coordinating the logistical issues for receiving the three combat jets, according to news agency IANS. The air force pilots are being trained in batches in France at Saint-Dizier air base.

Seven Rafale fighters are already being used for IAF fighter pilot training in France.

Earlier after the induction of the Rafale aircraft, Rajnath Singh had said that the Rafale deal is a game changer. "I am confident our air force has acquired a technological edge with Rafale," the minister had pointed out. The Rafale is a 4.5 generation aircraft and has the latest weapons, superior sensors and fully integrated architecture. It is an omni-role aircraft which means it can carry out at least four missions in one sortie.

But how can porkys cant finance anything other than paper crafts. This is the third year of low growth high inflation. Porkys is plumbing new depths of stagflation. Circular debt is spiralling. Roll over of debts is the norm. The latest being 3 Billion USD from China. Another repayment of 4 Billion USD from Gulf states is looming ahead. The Chinese Virus has put porky’s economy on a ventilator. There is no end or a solution to this downward viral. Things will only worsen from hereon. That is the combined forecast of IMF and World Bank.

Imo porkys can never repay China now. Hence it would be more than fair to say that porky sovereignty is permanently compromised and it will be a cucked state of China untill we liberate it. What happens ahead is truly a billion-dollar question.

Good that this arms race is happening. It will either bankrupt Pak or accelerate their colonisation by China. In the event Pak gets colonised that will be good for us because it will hyper accelerate Pak's downward tailspin. Imagine Chinese troops moving into Pak to save their puppet regime similar to what the USSR did in Afg. After that its pretty obvious what will happen to both.

Regarding our own military capabilities while the Modi govt has done a lot, still a mountain of work needs to be done. Political executive has done some commendable work in neutering babus in a host of departments. Now time to do so in MoD decisively. And armed forces brass need to be made clear that their well being lies in supporting indigenisation.

While I am no fan of US foreign policy, credit has to be given where due in that their scientific and military-scientific-industrial jugalbandi is the role model to follow. Using the recent warmth in ties we should aim to place civilian and military folks in US military and government organisations to learn about the structural and procedural mechanisms in place that enables academic, industrial, and military in house research to translate into products for the armed forces. These should then be used in India for our benefit.

Both are not feasible anymoar kek . In the 90s, Porkys became water stressed as mass slaughter of grass continued for consumption. Around 2005, it became water scarce. After 2025, it will enter the absolute water scarcity zone. Inshallah grass will continue to grow without water.

Allah *cough* Manchurian bhaijaans *cough* will provide for his Momineen, Ghazwa -e- hind is paramount, whatever the cost.
The more porkis material conditions worsen, the more their anger against chini masters/state/army increases, which is then directed towards us vegetable eating kuffars.
They also produce more bacchas out of paranoia.

TLDR worsening economic conditions, roti kapda makan ke waande == more Jihad, more mullahs, more madarsas, more masjids.

And as the meme of "Pakistan will self-destruct" goes, it will not because these fakirs are very useful for both the world powers.
Only containment plan on our side should be devastating short wars for them in every 5 years, where our goal should be salami slicing and holding parts of AJK/GB, once we reconquer these areas, all inhabitants must be assumed loyal to porkiland and get booted.

When you dream atleast dream big.it doesn't cost a dime in dreams. Why stop at j10c, colud have said 60 j20 atleast. There is a cost for every thing that's why paf had to settle down with jf17, they knew they could not afford anything else. If they were serious they could have fielded something worthy at the same time Rafale reached India. But they couldn't. They know j10 ce is not even a worthy opponent against s400 and Rafale. Their only option is to defend and for that they neither need j10c nor f16 block 200. What they need is lot of air defence systems and a lot of prayers to make that Chinese ad systems to work correctly and a few jf17 to intercept the incoming Rafale. If they invest in anything else it will only help to accelerate their financial breakdown. These kind of " breaking tweets" are only for general pakistani netizens lingering in PDF and twitter to help them sleep better.

Correct, but I feel mazhab will be touched. Han racists will do that at some point. I bet that it will probably some Chini project engineer on a construction site who does that (prolly by mistake) and another Salman Khurshid event happens. As you said in your other post, the more Pakis boil the better it is, because it will waste their dying economy even further, as fauj corners all national resources for itself, and mullahs run amok. Short devastating wars every 5-7 years with loss of territory on each one will accelerate things even further.

WILL PAKISTAN PROCURE AN OFF-THE-SHELF FIGHTER? PAK MEDIA
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) may induct an off-the-shelf fighter in the 2020s. This would not a new move or alteration of its plans. In fact, the PAF had sought an off-the-shelf fighter since 2016, especially after it was unable to secure follow-on F-16C/D Block-52+ with Foreign Military Financing (FMF) support from the United States.

In 2016, the PAF reportedly voiced interest in the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) J-10 and United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Su-35. Though not direct confirmation, the PAF’s Chief of Air Staff (CAS) at the time, Air Chief Marshal (ACM) Sohail Aman, said, “Pakistan definitely has to induct new aircraft. We have both Chinese and Russian options.” The goal was to induct a new fighter sometime in the 2020s as an interim solution ahead of the next-generation fighter aircraft (NGFA).

The challenge with an off-the-shelf fighter is that it would be a significant use of resources. Not only would it strain Pakistan, which is in a precarious economic state, and it could force the PAF to divert funds from its long-term endeavours, especially Project Azm (under which the PAF is working on an NGFA).

However, an off-the-shelf fighter for induction in the 2020s was the original plan, especially if the PAF was unable to acquire follow-on new-build F-16s. When the PAF started emphasizing Project Azm, its commitment to an off-the-shelf fighter became unclear. The lack of near-term funding may have pushed the PAF to focus on the long-term (i.e., NGFA) while improving upon the JF-17 so that it stands as a good baseline solution.

However, the PAF is also aware of the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) modernization efforts. In particular, the PAF has not stopped noticing the impact the Dassault Rafale could have on South Asia’s air warfare conditions in the coming years.

For the IAF, the Rafale delivers a series of important capability upgrades, especially a world-class – if not the industry standard – beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile (BVRAAM), i.e., Meteor. In response to the Rafale causing a potential imbalance in South Asia’s air warfare dynamics, the current CAS of the PAF, ACM said, “we have to be aware of modern technologies, and if the acquisition of a new fighter fits into our doctrine then we will try to acquire it. The balance has to be maintained.”[5]

Thus, at the highest level of the PAF’s decision-making, the option to acquire an off-the-shelf fighter is still on the table.

The question is, ‘at what cost?’

At the cost of more loans and begging to china, well Pakistanis enjoy getting deepthroated by their daddy china anyway so it will not make any difference, few billion more loans or Pakistan's transformation into Chinese colony. Pizza selling Generals will keep on having their lavish lifestyle while their country goes to dogs....
