Nehru didn't said that, this might be something your politician might have sold to keep your morale up ..And on economy , do you even know that till early 1990 pakistan economy was better than india .Pakistan was agriculture powerhouse and was a model state despite all the imperfections but then something happened in 1980's which destroyed your generations .

They surely won't get a type052 . At best they'll buy a few more Type 054 frigates with possible tech tansfer . Pak navy has shown little to no intent in operating large Destroyers . They want to have a offensive defense posture in the North Arabian sea by operating a mix of missile Frigates and Hunter killer submarines . They are also focusing a lot on A2/AD weapons for example they bought C402 missiles for their mirages and JF17 from china . They are also building their own Anti ship ballistic missile called P282 based on the chinese DF26

in order bhikaristan to get type 52d destroyers, first chinks need to gain a heavy sum from cpec (which will never get compleated, due to your jernails).

second thing is that china will never give its cutting edge tech to a country which can change sides for money.

so you can get type 52d by 2033-2035, at that time we will be inducting project 18 destroyers and frigates.

Your economy was stronger than ours for most part of our independence and your creation since 14/15th August 1947. Only in 2007 India's per capita income got bigger than Pakistan, now its roughly 2 times yours which might become 4 times by the end of this decade.

And even when Pak was stable, it still was a headache for us coz despite knowing that every Paki is a terrorist unless proven otherwise we used to be patient with respect to your citizens fencejumping and infiltrating into our territories to do terror attacks on Kafirs and Indian military.

When Pakistan destabilises, we will be free to shoot every paki who would be an extremist and a potential terrorist even if he has no weapons.

Thats it. Being a poor country you should be allocating this money to run your country, because your country is still running to IMF for pocket change worth debt everyday.
