Pakistan Navy will use these thunders to cover twin engine jets against indian MIG 29K and hornets so those twin engine jets can do anti ship missile missions swiftly

Chinese J 15 or J 16 are also being considered

But MIG 35 has better perfomance and radars and can be integrated with deadly kinzhal missiles as well

You are right. Pakistani forces have made the right decision to buy 25 heavy aircrafts to provide a layered attack formation. Since Indian TEDBF or ORCA may not materialize before 2035 realistically, Pakistani forces will have the edge for the next 10 years atleast.

Being a sensible (if not realistic) Indian I will actually congratulate you (rather your forces) for this excellent step.

On the other hand, I hope this kick in the balls will force the Indian forces to become serious about backing TEDBF and ORCA thus pushing it into mass (or serial) production by 203?. This will not only give us back the edge but also prepare us for the battle that is truly happening in the future.

The second Sino India war.

Like last time, one sticky point.
You will not get a heavy aircraft for under 60 million dollar so this deal comes to 1.5 Billion (with a B) Dollar. This is not including the cost of operation, training, maintenance and overhaul.

Since you have handed your (and our) land, your donkeys, your dogs, your daughters and your infrastructure to China already. What or who will you sell for these aircrafts?

It's not like you have money to run your electricity company or buy fuel or buy food or buy phones or buy (Indian) Cotton (via Dubai) or buy (Indian) medicines (and not pay bills).

You know what,
I know you will eat grass and buy these aircraft for 2.5 Billion Dollars (1 B in some European account that has Papa John's relative named)

Nice new thread, do keep posting whenever you have electricity and internet. We happen to take these things for granted in India so talking to you is a vicariously Sanyasi feeling.

Why do you keep opening new threads which are based on hearsay and speculation? That Russia will even consider selling Jets to Pakistan itself is a laughable proposition. And what Jet Chinese are selling? Most likely knock offs of Russian Jets. By buying 25 J-10C PAF has already blown big hole in your country's forex. If you want to buy same number of Twin Engine Jets from Chinese it will definitely be $2-3 billion not including life time cost, training, future spare parts and all those missiles which come with it. If you want to splurge on fighter aircraft when you are on the verge of bankruptcy, good luck with IMF. Because this time they will suck every drop of blood out of you to make sure you pay back their loans.

Personally I hope Chinese do sell more Jets to PAF. This will increase your operational cost. More and more money will fly out of Pakistan. Most importantly we will get enough information on how Chinese Jets are performing from our spies. And in case PAF flies close to border we now have powerful Radars like Sword fish to detect it and record it's Radar signature.

J-16 is developed from J-11 which is itself a licensed copy of Soviet/Russian SU-27. Russia will not allow China to export these jets to a 3rd Party. Same is the case with J-15, it is an unauthorised copy of the SU-33 so here too it is unlikely that China will be able to export J-15s to Pakistan because Russia will most probably block the sale.

So buying Chinese Flankers which are they themselves copies/licensed copies of Russian Flankers is totally out of the question.

Twin Engine Fighters like SU-30/J-16/MiG-35 etc are more complex to maintain, more expensive to Procure etc.

You are better off using JF-17s only. For Anti ship role, JF 17 can Reportedly carry the following :
  • C-601 — (Anti-ship missile)
  • C-705KD — (Anti-ship missile)
  • C-802AK — (Supersonic anti-ship missile)
  • CM-400AKG - (Supersonic anti-ship missile)
  • HD-1A — (Supersonic anti-ship/land-attack cruise missile)
SOURCE : Wikipedia.
So JF-17 is good enough for Anti shiping role for you. China also has JH-7. Maybe they can give you that.

Ofcource they will pay the money, no matter what it takes, they will get the money to pay for these jets, even if the Pak Awam needs to be kept hungry to do so.
