Pakistan is included in the list of countries where Russia can supply military equipment, military-diplomatic source in the Russian capital told ITAR -TASS.
He said that Pakistan is interested in large transport helicopters Mi-26. In addition, Pakistan "is interested in high-precision weapons, artillery, air defense systems, long-range missiles, guided missiles," – the source said.
The largest suppliers of military equipment to Islamabad are China and the U.S., while Russia has traditionally supplied weapons to other major player in the region – India. According to open sources, Moscow supplied to Pakistan only 70 transport helicopters Mi-17/Mi-171 in 1996-2010.

Years of hard work and lobbying finally showing good results. :)

High on our priority list is the S-300 already evaluated by Pak military delegation.

Jf-17 can now be exported with Russian engines :)

In your dreams :rofl::rofl: being in the list is one thing but being actually sold is another .I think medium and light weapons can be sold to Pakistan but you should remember when it comes to weapon sales to Pakistan Indian consent is required by Moscow in case of missile like s300 i do not think that India would allow Russia to sell and again i don't think Russia would jeopardize its friendship with India to sell weapons to Pakistan so NO chance boss.

And why you seem so excited American high end weapons are available to Pakistan so no need to look elsewhere ...... oh i forgot even America is not willing to sell you high end technology the best bet for you is cheap Chinese recycled weapon copies be content with them:thumb:

Actually the story goes this way --->

Ganja called Putin and told Him that if they don't give us your equipments then we will send all our jehadi people to Russia after NATO withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Putin already busy with West Chechens did not want another problem... So he agreed. :hmm:

From the news report, Pak wants long range guided missiles. Years of getting missiles from China & NoKo that they painted green not working well but they forget Russia is bound by MTCR and because of that even India couldn't develop a longer range Brahmos with Russia.

But as usual Pak us always ready with its laundry list like it has with the US.

Lag gayi aag sabko?

5-6 years ago China leaked the info that JF-17 would be powered by Russian RD-93 and I was active in an Anglo-American defence forum that was dominated by Indian internet warriors. Almost everybody laughed and made fun of the Chinese and Pakistani: India would force Russia not to supply the engine. She would cancel all military orders and let Russian defence industry bleed to death.
Desipte heavy lobbying by MM Singh the deal could not be sabotaged and Russia sold 150 RD-93 with end user Pakistan :)
India could do nothing. :)

Lets see what India will do this time and how much importance Russians give to this Indian consent :)

Really? I thought more stronger statements were used to block RD-93.
And we all know what happened then. :)

Yusuf bhai we all know that the entire world is bound by MTCR and that is why C-602's original range was reduced from 400km to 280km. Obviously the reporter is not a defence expert.

Putin met with Musharraf and Zardari and for the first time in history a heavy Russian delegation visited Pakistan last hear. Kiyani visited Moscow several time and brought a heavy delegation of military experts with him. He was granted access to several military platforms.
Now Nawaz Sharif and Raheel Sharif will tour Russia at the end of this summer so something is definitely cooking.
PA wants Mi-35 and Mi-26 and the S-300 and official request was to be made during first visit by Putin which got cancelled and will be reschedulled for this year.
There are also proposals for 3 military JV's with Russia.

So lets see what happens next.
