5-6 years ago China leaked the info that JF-17 would be powered by Russian RD-93 and I was active in an Anglo-American defence forum that was dominated by Indian internet warriors. Almost everybody laughed and made fun of the Chinese and Pakistani: India would force Russia not to supply the engine. She would cancel all military orders and let Russian defence industry bleed to death.
Desipte heavy lobbying by MM Singh the deal could not be sabotaged and Russia sold 150 RD-93 with end user Pakistan
India could do nothing.

Lets see what India will do this time and how much importance Russians give to this Indian consent

russia and india has really bad relationship and they never ever share anything and also they have never consulted one another and also they have had a history of huge disrespect.

the americans are the ones that pakistan is trying to ruffle up and get a response. have the americans abandoned pakistan is the big question and the recent fishing exercise by pakistan to rekindle the american love (middle east, thailand, maldives, etc, etc) will it be reciprocated by americans given a response to the pakis.

HQ-9 is a good alternative for S-300/400 and I believe Turkey is buying it.
PA has been eyeing S-300 for more than a decade now and if Russia refuses, there's always the Chinese option.

Chinese weapons are no longer considered inferior, they are closing gap with Russia, Europe and USA at fast pace.

The Hind would be of no such use unless upgraded to Super Hind standards.

This is the best thing that can happen. Buying from Russia means blackmail will continue for
Years, orders delayed and defective delivery and blackmail for spares. This also gives india
