It is quite puerile of Imran Khan to talk about finding 'large' oil and gas deposit even before the exploratory drilling has happened......no country's PM ever makes such speculative talk! But of course IK thinks it's like playing cricket - talk about winning before the first ball has been bowled!
I am waiting for Imran Khan to announce that Pakis are bestowed with so much oil that they don't need Indus waters anymore, Pakis will drink and bathe in expensive oil from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As expected Imran Khan was blowing some hot gas......up the Paki assess.............
His own 'Petroleum & Gas' ministry is confused where Imran is getting his information from.... :)

So what is the reserve number ?
I read there are plans of buying F-35, S-400, building world class universities, and buying that private plane with gold toilet to shit like arab sheikhs.
i think if we use our discovered oil,we can probably save 12 billion.we can also export it.we want to do projects with china.we seriously need sams.we also want good fighter jet and we also want to invest in space technology.

hahaha.we need indus water sir.
Sure you do!
Why aren't Pakis grateful to India for giving away 80% of the river waters.....free of cost! And add to that paid billions of $$ (in today's terms) to Pak for all the canal constructions inside Pakistan!!

Contrast that with:
US (rich country) gives Mexico (poor country) less than 7% of the downstream water!
Brazil (rich country) charges money to Bolivia (very poor country) for the water it allows to flow...

Problem is Pakis foundational ideology of hatred towards India only makes them think...if we can get this much for free, what else can we squeeze India for?? How much more can we destroy India??

i think imran khan is in direct contact with someone related to this project.i am still not sure about large reserves of oil.
No. Your petroleum minister is right, someone is over exaggerating and feeding Imran the wrong information.

Any oil and gas dummy knows that it’s close to impossible to confirm amount of oil reserves with just a single drill. You would need to do multiple drills across the area to estimate size of reserve.

To protect the oil reserves, Pakis will need massive investment and partnerships.
even if the news is true, it will take atleast 4 years to develop a deep sea oil and gas field . and all of us know what will happen to deep sea fields in 2023.

"EV penetration into the global auto fleet should initiate an oil glut by 2023. Shale oil (high extraction cost) operations should become stressed first."

https://seekingalpha.com/article/4225153-evs-oil-ice-impact-2023-beyond

further even if they manage to operate such field ,

These fields are not designed to absorb any external attack on the assets.

One oil spill and Pakistani fisheries will be destroyed for the long time to come. Economic damage will be multipronged.

Industrial targets in case of full-scale war...

Take away the green-energy projects & there's still plenty of them. It'd be a bad ideas to hit the oil rigs (if they got any they can extract profitable, low chances).

Any oil-spill in the region will dreary the marine ecosystem & over a beer large area, affecting all of Gujarat & Maharastra coast, a significant fisheries area... & the oil would still be there. Their Chini-papa would just build them new rigs.
We'd harm ourselves more than them!

While the Pakis are praying (not very successfully as of now) to hit oil reserves in Arabian sea, we are all set to look for Helium-3 nuclear fusion fuel on the other side of moon!!!

IMG_20190401_210519_989.jpg

ISRO declared that Chandrayan 2 is set to be launched in May. It includes an orbiter, lander and a rectangular rover.
The six-wheeled vehicle, powered by solar energy, will collect information for at least 14 days and cover an area with a 400-meter radius.

A primary objective, is to search for deposits of Helium-3 isotope, which solar winds have bombarded the moon in immense quantities unlike Earth.
This zero-waste, ready-to-use, future-fuel worth up to US$10 billion a ton is thought to have been embedded in the regolith, the layer of dusty deposits over the lunar surface.

A very big Update Guys!

Kekra-1 well in deep sea: Hopes fade as no oil, gas reservoir found; drilling halted

Listen

KARACHI: Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Petroleum Nadeem Babar has said that drilling at Kekra-1 well in deep sea near Karachi has been stopped after no oil or gas reservoir could be found.

KARACHI: Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Petroleum Nadeem Babar has said that drilling at Kekra-1 well in deep sea near Karachi has been stopped after no gas and oil reservoirs could be found.

Talking to Geo News here Saturday, Nadeem Babar said after reaching at the depth of 5,500 metres in deep sea at Kekra-1 in G-bloc, ENI, the operator, the drilling was stopped after gas and oil reservoirs could not be found there.

Experts reject claim of major oil, gas discovery

He said Director General Petroleum Concessions office has been apprised about the testing results.

Two days back, talking to The News, Nadeem Babar had said after reaching the required depth of 5,474 metres in deep sea at Kekra-1 in G-bloc, ENI, the operator, still needs to go 150 metres more deeper and it will take two days more.

After that there will be testing process to know what the reservoir factually has, either gas or oil or both and at what quantum. It will take at least one week more.

After going down 150 metres more, the Drill Stem Test (DST) is to start that will provide the information or data telling what exactly lies in the reservoir. The DST by definition is a temporary completion of a well bore that provides information on whether or not to complete the well. The zone in question is sealed off from the rest of the well bore by packers and the formations’ pressure and fluids are measured.

The joint venture headed by ENI as operator comprising Exxon Mobile, OGDCL and PPL started the drilling on January 13, 2019 at the cost of sunk money of $75 million which has increased to over $100 million so far.

Looks like I was right.

They have one dumb ass as a prime minister - counting eggs before it hatches and trusting wrong info.

The cries in Pakistan must be really loud now lol

They spent $100 million just to prove they have no reserves. I bet Exxon and ENI are laughing all the way to the bank. So much for fake Paki budgets with fake oil and gas production built in. China isn't getting paid back either.
