Ya'll Nibbiars Phoenix Markey city Kurla has 1 million sq ft of retail space largest in Sub continent along with the lulu mall.
Though I have to say Karachi’s Dolmen mall is professionally run under a proper corporation. The mall is even financed by an REIT properly listed in Porki exchange. So there is some institutional oversight in this mall. But the stores inside are still second grade brands for most part.
looks like the packis know the concept of REITs to finance real estate. Not bad considering how jaahil the country is.

Ya'll Nibbiars still the Dolem mall can't compete with the Phoenix Mills managment. The difference is much higher.

Is there a high rise mall under construction in India? Or at least planned?

The thing is e-commerce is a real threat to these malls. In the west, a lot of malls have closed due to poor patronage. Malls peaked in the 70s-90s and then have been steadily declining. I don’t know if that will happen in India as well.

E-commerce = 4% of total retail in India.

Many like 'LuLu Mall' project at Trivandrum and one other at Hi Tech City. Mall sizes set at 2.5 million sq feet to 3 million.
I've been to The Lulu in Kochi,
Damn it's big, but not as big as the one in Saudi

Biggest malls in Asia seem to be around the 6 million (60 lake) square feet area.
do we have any coming up of that size?
The largest in Kerala is the Lulu Kochi is only 1.7 million sq ft of retail area
Used to visit Kochi regularly as I have relatives there
Last time I went, some constructions were happening, that was almost 2 yrs ago before the Chinese virus
