Would he have been surprised? The cream of colonial India army - the Sikh regiments, Gurkha regiments, Rajputana etc etc went to India. What was Pakistan left with?

Defeatist converted Punjabi Musalman who were treated with contempt from centuries. Treacherous Pashtuns who have no loyalty to anybody except other Pashtuns. Sindhis and Balochis with not a good history of producing soldiers.

It's woodland with blue color added, it's meant to be used in muddy areas such as rivers and deltas and so the blue fits in once the uniform gets muddy.
