From my personal opinion ,they will most likely buy those J-10 Aircrafts , it is definitely the best choice for them if they want to atleast have some sort of a counter to our Rafales . Porkis are Scared shit of our Rafales , we know it.

Flight global's 2022 report is out.

It estimates pakistan operates almost 300+ obsolete jets f7 , mirage 3 and 5.
Only 74 f16 and 150 + jf17 are somewhat capable . Even most f16 are very old A/B version.

While it has only ordered few more jf17s.

Even 36 j10s are just drop in a bucket.

How is pakistan going to replace these 300 40-50 years old jets ?? With what?? Where is the budget??

Porky rupee crossed 180 against dollar 😂.

Go to Dassault Rafale threads on this forum and learn source based methods and technical debates to understand how a jet’s capabilities are scrutinised to qualify it for any praise or lack of it.

Pak responds to India's Rafale with China-made 25 J-10C fighter jets
By Sajjad Hussain
December 30, 2021 18:12 IST

Pakistan has acquired a full squadron of 25 multirole J-10C fighter jets from its all weather ally China in response to India's purchase of Rafale aircraft, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said.

Speaking to the media in his home city of Rawalpindi on Wednesday, Rashid said that a full squadron of 25 all-weather aircraft comprising J-10C will attend the Pakistan Day ceremony on March 23 next year.

Apparently, China has come to the rescue of its closest ally by providing J-10C, one of its highly reliable fighter jets.

The minister, who often characterises himself a ‘graduate of Urdu-medium institutions' to poke fun at his elite English-medium colleagues, incorrectly pronounced the name of the aircraft as JS-10 instead of J-10C.

“VIP guests are coming (to attend 23rd March ceremony) for the first time in Pakistan, the fly-past ceremony of JS-10 (J-10C) is being held… Pakistan Air Force is going to perform the fly-past of China's JS-10 (J-10C) aircraft in response to Rafale,” Rashid said.

The J-10C aircraft were part of the Pak-China joint exercise last year, where experts from Pakistan had the opportunity to have a close look at the fighter jets.

The joint exercises started on December 7 in Pakistan and lasted about 20 days, with China sending warplanes including J-10C, J-11B jets, KJ-500 early warning aircraft and Y-8 electronic warfare aircraft, while Pakistan participated with the JF-17 and Mirage III fighter jets.

Pakistan had a fleet of US-made F-16s, which is considered a good match for Rafale, but it was looking for a new multirole all-weather jet to augment its defence after India purchased Rafale jets from France.

Nearly five years ago, India signed an inter-governmental agreement with France to purchase 36 Rafale jets under a Rs 59,000-crore deal to boost the Indian Air Force's combat capabilities.

I wonder if they are getting these also financed. Because this package includes short-range anti-ship missiles for their Harbin Z-8 helicopters for ASW role from the Type 054A frigates as well.

Amazing how they manage to scrounge for money even when they can't touch their own central bank funds due to IMF conditions.

China will give them something keeping us engaged will help subdue Indian belligerence towards them.
Turkey may assist in modernisation of PAF F-16.
Lastly Pakistani cannot and need not to match you 1for1. They just need to build up credible deterrence. For that some 400 planes is more than enough to tie IAF.

Are there any other sources than the clown Sheikh Rasheed that have corroborated this?

You didn't read the post correctly .

Where will these 400 jets come from??
Now they are probably buying 25 J10 . Probably 200 jf17 all together and 74 f16 many of which are second and third hand.
So their active fleet will remain around 300 jets at most. Even less in actuality .

Btw buying j10 just proves jf17 blk 3 is mostly a failure because their isn't much upgrade on paper . This also means end of development of jf17 series , no future road map.

So they may have 400 jets now including f7 and 60 year old mirages but in future it's very hard for them to maintain even 300 modern jets .

Super Sukhoi is needed against china not porkistan. Regular su30mki is more than enough for everything porkistan has including j10c. Derby ER is already coming for su30mki.
agreed but radar change is the most important
