Pak-Fa when Brazil is selecting a MMRCA for its Air Force ?

At this point in time, All I can say is better luck next time.

However India-Brazil share excellent relationship and if Brazil does opt for Pak-Fa, it'd be great.

^^ Didn't think of that angle.

Didn't Brazil already select Rafale ? And does Brazil want to build an Air-Force which operates multiple platforms ?

It will be good incase they bite the bait since there is a mention of joint development which infers development costs being shared and I remain a skeptic on the final costs of this project especially looking at the way the F35 project has gone and if we can rope in more players and especially the ones who will be looked at later stage as potential customers then why not have them right away which further means assured sales and that will also help drop the per unit costs because of economics of scale.

The only issue from Indian angle will be that incase they get interested in fgfa once they join in then would that mean India not getting the desired say in execution of that project where the share in terms of over all contribution is slated at around 20-25% hence a lot of learning for our chaps, but may be fgfa will remain independent of all this, hopefully it does.

No Russia and India are the only developing partners.

Any other will be either financial partners, or customers.

Brazil was a always a prospective buyer of PAK_FA or the FGFA.

I had assumed they would go for the FGFA eventually but, if they wish to get the PAK_FA its their prerogative.

Given that good relation between India-Brazil-Russia, India may not oppose the Pak-fa to Brazil; Again the politics at that time will tell the truth.

Ukraine, Algeria, Saudi, Vietnam, Malaysia will be future speculated buyers. For Ukraine, Saudi, Malaysia i think India wont oppose the sale.

^^^ wouldn't be too sure about the saudis there
With the recent bonhomie and the pacts and all signed, and not to mention them snubbing Pakistan in the declaration and all, India will let the Saudis have the PAKFA, after all they are Cash Rich and they would pay any price you want to get their hands on a 5th Gen Fighter. The F35 will be a cut down version for them, and the PAKFA will be their only viable option. Lets see, as you said, Politics of the Future will decide!

The Thing I would be worried, is that, The PAKFA should not be sold to countries, where the USA and allies can have a deep peek into it. Strict End User Verification and other measures should be put into the PAKFA like the americans do. Countries will buy beacause there is not much of a choice now! Putting end user stuff on a Mig 29 might hinder its sales, but for the PAKFA, it just wont!

PAK FA was offered to Brasil last year and they rejected it. Su-35 was offered last year for the FX and it was kicked off the shortlist. Russians must be dillusional since they still thought the Su-35 was a contender after it was kicked out. Brasil isn't going Russian, they have already gone French.

It is the Kingdom that is causing Rosboronexport the problems. Russians keep offering them the stuff they don't want like S-300 and T-90 when SKA wants S-400 and T-95. S-400 isn't going to be ready for export for years to come and niether will T-95. S-400 still doesn't have its long range missile which makes it the same as an S-300PMU2, same thing offered to Iran. Russia has also made it a priority that the VVS must recieve 18 battaliions before export orders will be made. The T-95 is still looking for foreign funding just to get it off the ground. These two items are holding up the rest of the helicopters and BMP-3s. If Russia doesn't hurry up and get these arms out for export, SKA will move on to other vendors. They don't have all day to wait.

If Brazil were to buy Su-35, it will be admitted to the program PAK FA - FIDAE-2010

Russia hopes that Brazil has yet to decide on the purchase of Russian Su-35, said in an interview with RIA Novosti Deputy Head of Marketing and International Cooperation of the state corporation Rostekhnologii Sergey Goreslavsky.

State Corporation Rostekhnologii first time takes part in the international aerospace show "FIDAE-2010. Also, state-owned corporation and serves as an organizer of the joint Russia exhibition.

"We really have every reason to hope that, if a decision on the Brazilian tender is not accepted, we will continue our policy to promote the Su-35 to the Brazilian market", - said Goreslavsky, who heads the delegation Rostekhnologii.

According to him, for that Russia has every reason and many new arguments. "In particular, the emergence in Russia fifth generation fighter aircraft T-50.

"Brazil previously shown repeated interest in a joint collaboration on the fifth generation fighter aircraft. We have determined the possibility of this co-operation with the purchase of Su-35, which is almost reflected some of the components of the fifth generation aircraft," - the source said.

"This is a weighty argument", - added Goreslavsky.

He also did not rule out that the implementation of the PTS in Brazil and Russia will use economic arguments.

"We also seek the possibility of using Russia's policy on the purchase of meat in Brazil in exchange for something to offer this country, Russia's production, in particular, the Su-35", - explained Goreslavsky.

Su-35 is designed for air superiority and strike ground and sea targets in all weather conditions at any time of day. It uses elements of the fifth generation of technology, providing high fighter aircraft performance. Thus, the Su-35 is very fast (2.25 Mach number at an altitude of 11 kilometers), and range without the overhead tanks is 3.55 thousand kilometers. In addition, the Su-35 can carry 8 tons of different weapons. It is not only unique, but also ideal for any country in the car: the larger the radius of each aircraft, the less need to build airfields, and the higher its combat effectiveness, the fewer cars needed for the solution set of combat missions.
