i have heard that after corporatization, terms and conditions for workers will remain same.

According to the two officials above, the government has ensured that the service conditions of the existing central government employees of OFB are protected, while taking this decision. There would be no change in the service conditions of the OFB employees and the government was committed to safeguarding their interests. All OFB employees – of categories A, B and C -- from different production units would be transferred to the corporate entities on deemed deputation for an initial period of two years without changing their service conditions as government employees

so how will ofb employees loose their jobs??
2 YEARS .....

After that ,if a worker takes too much unaccounted leaves for no reason , comes late everyday , Don't work properly , makes too makes mistakes and Don't improve , any corporate entity can start his resignation procedure

OFB is losing its ground and that too fast army gave 10lakh multi mode grenade,10lakh land mine, pinnaka rockets,125mm ammo order to private players .OFB doesn't have any monopoly now.all they have now in small arms is ak203 and if that too is ditched OFB is gonna be fucked up
In all honesty I don’t want IOF to die out. IOF could have been one of the strong regional or international arms makers like the Chinese State Owned Norinco but haramkhor unions and idiotic workforce ruined the organization. I really hope and pray that this reorganization will save it from complete destruction.

But all the new workforce added will be devoid of such status , slowly as the old ones retire , which is approximately 15 - 16 percent in 55 60 years , we would get better employee ,and if fresh hiring is do we would have about 25% of workforce as really competitive one , in place of most incompetent old ones , younger one will change themselves somewhat ,oldies are more stubborn

There will be no firing any employee. This corporatisation will be very similar to how our HAL operates. Same old MNREGA in new bottle.

Only ideal solution is closing down OFB+PSUs and creating consortium of private companies, DRDO and individual research wings for each forces.

Corporatisation means restructuring or transformation of a state-owned asset or organization into a corporation. The corporatise entity typically have a board of directors, management, and shareholders. If workers are lethargic as if in pre corporatisation period then the whole organisation is affected in term of their business and cannot remain competitive. Then they are doom. Non performing entity can be closed down or merges with other performing organisation. Then the unionism slowly dies down.

The difference between a corporation and department is, a corporation has to carry out business with what they earn. A department gets handed down a budget that may or may not be related to sales.

So, if they don't make sales, in a short time the corporation will go bankrupt or will have to sell assets to survive, just like what is happening to BSNL where they haven't paid salaries for months.

With OFB, they don't have any other civil or corporate clients, so the demise will be swift if they don't improve.

When 2 front war looms...and aandolan will carry on.
Atleast we’ll not get AK-203 and will have to be cancelled, maybe Galils can get a chance from PLR System. Modi doesn’t give a fck about 2 front war, if he had to then he would not have scrapped the carbine deal.
