Nagaland Civilian killings: Special Forces had laid ambush against NSCN (KY) terrorists: Sources
Kohima (Nagaland) (India), December 5 (ANI): In the Nagaland killing case where 13 civilians lost their lives in firing by troops, it is emerging that the Special Forces in that area were tipped off by the intelligence agencies about the movement of some terrorists of the NSCN (KY) and ULFA.

- SF Team laid the Ambush (probably 21 PARA)
- The surveillance team gave a go-ahead as villagers were carrying hunting rifles.
- Initially, 6 people were killed in the shootout by ambush team
- While SF was waiting for police to arrive, 200 angry locals attacked 14 soldiers with machetes
- Soldiers fired in self-defense and killed 7-8 more locals.
- Soldiers were severely injured in the attack and one succumbed to the injury.
