India newspaper reported that Indian government has prohibited Chinese workers from participating projects of power station construction in India. Chidambaram, minister of interior stated that "We can find those non-technicians or semi-technicians within India. We will not release temporary working visas to Chinese workers."

Although Chinese companies that are participating the projects in India said that their Chinese workers are more familiar with their products and equipment, India government does not take it as a good excuse for visa release.

and rightly so. chinese in no way need to be entertained in india at the expense of indian themselves. chinese are not coming here for charity, they are here to make profits and with that india provides them with adequate qualified people with requisite skills to run their businesses. chinese know the product better is way too lame, they need to come up with a better and smarter excuse next time round.

chinese need to learn india is no africa, latin america or mid east, they have to listen to indians or else they are free to leave the country. as is said, when in rome be roman so it will be better the chinese learn it quick and fast or else there are many waiting to grab those same business opportunities.

You think the labourers and techs in India can't build a power station? You think Indians are lazy and untrained? Typical Han thinking... :((

Everyone knows What!!! about Indian race?? Why my nike sneakers don't last more than 2 months on ashfault. chinese munchirians were used as slaves to build our railroads in California then dumped like dogs in dirty sewer to crawl like maggots on rotting corp.

Truth is every chinese market is still called a pacific mall for a reason, not for there dedication.

Forgot your meds again, eh Han?

Here's the TRUTH: we work just as hard as you, if not harder. What's more, we do it in an environment with less than satisfactory infrastructure, with more than satisfactory results. So much so, that countries like Egypt are looking at harnessing Indian labour efficiency to increase their output in small and medium scale industries. Where else in the world do you find companies with the efficiency equivalent of Six Sigma rankings (that is, 99.9999% to you), and studied as 'consummate logistical feats' by statistical firms themselves as you do among the dabbawallahs in Mumbai? And if you think that is an isolated achievement, you could not be further from the truth. For the Indian is so much more industrious and dextrous at economic activity than the Chinese, that he has allowed himself to overcome numerous hurdles of infrastructure and bureaucracy- so that his nation was the world's largest economy from the 1st to the 11th century, with an unrivalled (33.9%) share of the global economy. Tell that to your Han peasants.

From my own very copious personal experience, there is NO ethnic group more lazy and more keen to shirk work in the West than the Chinois, particularly when they do technical or skilled jobs. The indolent culture of 'smoke breaks' is one they have been quick to adopt, and the grating, nasal sounds of their conversation filter through the hallways even during the most productive hours of their supposed 'working'.

This is the prove of how competent are Chinese workers and their technical expertise. We do not need Chinese workers here. India has built a lot of Power plant without any Chinese companies being involved.

89 Chinese employees flee after Balco mishap

Sep 27: Around 89 Chinese employees mostly engineers, working at Balco in Chhattisgarh's Korba town are reported to have fled after an under-construction chimney at the plant collapsed on Wednesday, Sep 23. Buzz up! Sources said that all of the 89 were employed in Korba by the Shandong Electrical Power Corporation (SEPC) and fled after the chimney collapsed at the Balco Plant in Korba, which killed at least 45 people.

The Government has issued look out notices against 89 Chinese personnel. Five Chinese engineers have been stopped by police at Raipur airport from flying back to Kolkata. And more than 75 per cent of the rubble is yet to be cleared. The under-construction chimney crashed amid heavy rain and lightning Wednesday, trapping over 50 workers in the debris. Police say the toll could rise as more people are feared trapped.

but indian wokers lack of skill ,work not hard ,base on your indian standard ,we will not earn money ,
and what lala land are you living in?

do you know which are few of the finest private set up organisations in the world?
do you know from which country year after year newer companies, with newer ideas, with potential to reach the tops happen to be, which keep getting good rankings from reputed mags like forbes, fortune, etc?
do you know why a non indian generally does not lead a MNC's subsidiaries in india and why they lead their subsidiaries in the prc, talking about management skills, huh!
do you know what are growth rate figures of leading companies in all the sectors in india?
do you know its the indian MNCs (indian owned) which have few of the finest employee friendly schemes and also few of the toughest QSRs to meet?
do you know how many engineers pass out each year in india?
do you know how many semi skilled chaps get churned out each year in india?
do you know in the recent top 50 companies by market cap ranking by forbes for asia/australia there were 13 companies which made the cut from india mostly all private in nature and there were 16 from the "mighty" prc and those 16 were state owned which have few of the worst performing NPAs, and why is that?

get over it, speak when you know things, not when you dont. for starters start finding answers to the above, then continue the discussion, and you are trying to tell me we are not hard working and dont have the skills. bud indians have a reputation like none other when it comes to hard work overseas and in indian private sector, it will be good if you start reading a little more about the work culture in the indian private sector.

the only reason the prc is attempting this is because they have a freakish thinking of controlling every thing, in simple words they are control freaks, and they dont trust anyone else, and how can they, when they dont trust you all who are the inhabitants of that country. the best known MNCs work in india and they feel proud that an indian heads their business in india whose job profile generally also includes the surrounding south asia countries including pakistan and all the staff members from top to bottom are indians and the targets are more or less achieved. a lot of indians have been promoted from india to a lot of senior global positions to the extent few of them end up even heading such organisations, and well all these achievements must be because we lack skills, dont have knowledge base and dont work hard, some delusion!

as for your racist remark, you are given a warning to not attempt that again!

Yusuf.....let me correct you on the Pentium chip. I have heard this statement before, and its really is not factually accurate.

The indian guy who you presume to have invented the chip was the program manager.( a very complex and demanding job...no doubt)

A complex chip like the pentium probably had a huge team of engineers working on different modules. It probably also has multiple architects who are specialists in different areas, and is normally a collaboration of many sharp very bright senior engineers at Intel.

Its probably not accurate to say "X or Y invented a chip" anymore especially if it is a microprocessor. Most chips today are way too complex for any one individual to have designed or engineered it by themselves or to define its design completely. Its usually a collaboration with many different teams to define the functionality and features needed, and then a separate team implements the agreed upon specs.

A program manager is someone who manages the whole program. He is responsible for the entire program and its success. This is a very demanding and complex task but it doesnt mean that he invented it.

franky speaking, India labour lack of disciplines and efficiency.
We're disciplining them, and making them efficient. Both of these come by experience, hence the decision to restrict Chinese labour.

But uh..I wouldn't mind a steaming momo food-shack in my area. Send us one.

Thats funny when it takes 15 Chinese shipbuilders to produce the same amount as one Korean.
so, Russian shipbuilding must be more efficient and competitive than CHinese's,isn't it?

pls tell me the rank of Russian shipbuilding !
