Finally, zero-emission buses spread to India
Sales of electric buses in India are finally taking off. Recently, Olectra-BYD launched 40 electric buses in Hyderabad, which is the biggest fleet in the country. In total, Olectra-BYD deployed 108 electric buses in four states.

The buses are 12-meter K9 model with a range of up to 250 km (155 miles) and capacity of 39 passengers plus driver.

India has the ambition to put into service up to about 1,000 electric buses this year.

Had the opportunity to travel in one of these in E-bus in Hyderabad last week . These are primarily used for Airport to city shuttle service . Just had a casual chit chat with the driver to gain some info . it runs for 300 kms roughly in single charge which takes upto 3 hours. So technically they are using it for 6 trip between airport and city every day . Very less noise inside the bus for sure .

Such service for bus is the perfect use case for EV like vehicle under the current tech.

1. The shuttle service has stable and regular routine, would accurately calculate the distance for charging time.
2. The urban road is somehow with good condition and using commercial speed.
3. have regular time and place for full charging.
4. dedicated people for maintenance especially during night time.

BTW, BYD is actually the biggest seller and manufacturer for EV in the world, not Tesla.

India is a free enterprise so you see such deals happening, nothing surprising. But atleast we should let them manufacture here in India.

We already make such buses,
Tata Motors starts supply of 40 electric buses for Lucknow city transport

Its funny to see chinese posters post these here to brag about it and at the same time insult us, forgetting not long time ago they were no better. Guess money got to their head.

The buses are designed and manufactured by Olectra in Hyderabad. The batteries and maybe the motor is provided by the Chinese supplier.

it has nothing to do with arrogance and propganda.

E-bus is the future and BYD is the biggest E-vehicle manufacturer.
