As far as my understanding ( using linguistic and history) goes late harappa coincides with early vedic age and mature harappa coincides with Zend Avestan. Only bone of contention is one was horse centric and other wasn't.

But I don't know how much horses are mentioned in rigveda, could anyone clarify? What I know for sure is that cow was very important may be even more important than horse.
people are connected with each other in ancient world also, horses are there in India. Horse and Rigveda are flawed argument.

Horse is mentioned several times in the Rgveda alone. In fact one of the hymn is for the horse(Ashwins). You have to remember that one of the principal dieties of the vedic society was Ashwini twins. It appears that the horse sacrifice (Ashwamedha) was one of the key components of early vedic rituals. The inclusion of horse as part of the rituals appears to be consistent with our understanding of other pastoral societies (like Kurgans, BMAC etc). So finding horse bones, or their lack of it, does affect the quest for finding the authors IVC.

Also could anyone clarify what dasa means?

As per highschool history books:

Dasa = slave ( I thought it means servant)
Dasa = earlier Aryan tribes
Divodasa/sudas = Aryan king

Very conflicting views in the same book :scared2:
Dasa was name of a tribal Confederacy near east of Caspian sea who didn't worship gods of Aryans and used to frequently fight with wondering Aryan tribes.

Dasa and Dasyu were first used as name for Enemy and demons, later slaves when Irani Aryans were Able to conquer them.

Even the rigveda mentions aryan tribes in afganistan and Iran- ie: pakhtus(pashtuns) and Parsu (persians). You get an out of india migration here, after the battel of 10 kings ,these two tribes were expelled from mainland, because they wanted to seprate themselves from local tribes there they called themselves aryans(nobles) and thus the modern name Iran.
The mittani kings in antolia were indo aryans ...it is well accepted by archeologists...they were outsiders for antolia...why not propose that they migrated from iran or india to the anatolia region
Recent findings indiacate that the IVC and Rigveda are of same timeline so they were part of a common society.
Battle of 10 kings was an attack on Sudas from west to destroy Trustu tribe who recently crossed Indus and colonized western punjab.

If what is written here is true then IVC could be a PIE civilization

Earlier genetic work had linked the arrival of these herders to the spread of Indo-European languages in Europe. But other researchers, including archaeologist Colin Renfrew of the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, had argued that the earlier Anatolian farmers were the original PIE speakers. The new data “make a strong case” for the Yamnaya as carriers of Indo-European languages, Renfrew says. But he still thinks Anatolian farmers could have spoken the earliest language in that family.
