I think by taking the oft used stance that "GoI must address their problems through dialogue and not force" is a bunch of nonsense. You are not supposed to start addressing people's grievances while they are executing your workforce. Once they start targeting state mechanisms and innocents you are supposed to use force, that is what the military is there for, not just to sit and lay eggs on LoC. Also such an argument gives credibility to their militancy and their fight will wage on with many new recruits who have seen how successful naxalites have been against the government. They are killing at will and at the same time have politicians in their hands, promising to bring development and address grievances while being ambushed in the jungles. Sure you can alleviate the suffering of poor and innocent and bring economic and human development, but not at the cost of bowing to the whims of terrorism. You can eradicate terror and propel a neglected segment of your society forward at the same time. It just takes creativity, funding, talented individuals and a resolute central command.

IA will never launch attack on them,,,,,,,
i feel its quite bad idea,
the best solution is to lestien and address advasi people's problem, then maoists problems, this will some how reduce human inteligence of maoists.
So basically, keep doing what the government is already doing? Yeah, that is working out quite well..

I don't know why but the situation between Congress (+ supporters) and the people of India concerning Naxals and Kashmir/Pakistan/Jihad reminds me of LOTR:

Theoden (Congress & Supports): I will not risk open war.
Aragorn (Rest of India): Open war is upon you whether you would risk it or not.

Except of course unlike Theoden Congress is driven more by corruption, fear and minority appeasement to stay in power at the cost of turning India into Pakistan, Iraq, Iran or Afghanistan (choose your poison). The supporters aren't any better (some foolishly believe in the lies of course).

what has mighty bjp done then ? didn't naxal exist when bjp was in power ?

how is congress appeasing minorities by doing nothing against naxals ?

how is congress appeasing minorities by doing nothing against pakistan ?

how is congress appeasing moniroties by doing nothing against china ?

blaming congress for being soft whilst portraying bjp as hard is being naive at best and being idiotic at worst. both are equally as inept as each other. also this "minority appeasement" does my head in! these minorities are also Indian.

p.s theoden cavalry saved gondor if you haven't forgotten....infact they were quite brave.

Why does every insurgency get ample time to gain strength before the government does something about it?

.
that is not working well, get road to every corner village, give electricity, and other basic facilities........... then slowly it would change. before there was noting there in Andhra, so naxalites ruled for 40+ years, now every thing in development has some how reached the people's way. so naxalism is totally destroyed for now. so develop the places and villages..... then why would naxalism be.?
there are so many issues to develop in India Vice versa to destroy maoism.

here question and problem are not Congress nor BJP. but the middle men. In India one of the problem is SC, ST or BC. there are millionares in minorities and poor too. but when the appeal or scheme is sent to minorities help both or enjoying the equal rights. But in Upper castes also they are poor and rich people, lets only talk about poor, they have been geting neglected as they have born in Upper castes. they cant send their children to school as they dont enjoy any stipends nor reservations........ there are so many not Congress nor BJP are taking any actions about it.
well this things almost every member of DFI knows, until he lives in big cities.........

Maoist problem is clearly akin to defeating a hydra. Chop the head and simultaneously treat the body mass.

Chopping the head is an attack on their violent ideology in the only language that those bunch of devastation and destruction planners can understand. While at the same time we need to remove the disparity in the poor and tribals of our country which has arisen due to the disproportionate development in our country. We need to remove the alienation of the tribals and give them what they want..... which is surprisingly basic...... fundamental opportunities to food, hygiene, education, basic infrastructure and most important..... hope.... that they are part of the Indian dream....

But first run a sting and expose on the real Arundhati Roy. :angry_6:

Naxals two-day bandh begins on a violent note, 8 killed

A two-day bandh called by the Naxals in six states on Monday began on a violent note with Naxals killing two policemen in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district and five Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) supporters in West Bengal's West Midnapore district.
The ultras also blew up a stretch of railway track near Karmavad railway station in Giridih district in the wee hours.

The blast, which occurred around 2 am, destroyed a metre-long track besides wheels of a goods train, Divisional Railway Manager, (Dhanbad Railway Division), A Upadhaya, said here.

In West Midnapore district, a group of Maoists attacked Dompara area in Nachupatina village close to the Orissa border and dragged out five Marxist supporters, including four of a family, from their houses and assaulted them before shooting them dead last night, police sources said.

One of the victims was identified as Amrit Aagyuan, whose mother was also injured in the attack while resisting the Naxals. The others belonging to the same family were Rohin Aagyun, Samaresh Aagyuan, Swapan Aagyuan and Prasanta Aagyuan.

In Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh, the Maoists attacked Bhejji police station and shot dead two policemen, who were preparing to go out on a patrol, after an exchange of fire this morning, police officials said.

Last night, Maoists shot dead a man at Panchadumar village in Jharkhand's Garhwa district, police sources said.

The bandh has been called in West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, Chattishgarh, Andhra Pradesh, besides Gadchiroli, Bhandara and Chadrapur districts of Maharashtra and Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh by top Maoist leader Kishenji.

The shutdown has been called to press for a probe into the death of top Naxal leader Cherakuri Rajkumar alias Azad who was killed in an encounter with the police on July 2 in Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh.

India border troops 'tortured' Maoist suspects

There has been a spate of deadly attacks on the troops in Chhattisgarh
Claims that Indian paramilitary forces tortured villagers while pursuing Maoist rebels in the central state of Chhattisgarh are under investigation

Troops from the Border Security Force (BSF) allegedly beat and gave electric shocks to tribal people, including women, during interrogation.

BSF director general Raman Srivastava said an internal inquiry was underway.

A large number of Indian police and paramilitary are based in Chhattisgarh, a stronghold of Maoist insurgents.

The allegations against the troops have been made by residents of Pachangi and Aloor villages in Kanker district.

The rebels, who say they are fighting for the rights of the rural poor, have carried out a spate of deadly attacks in recent months.

In April, 76 members of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force were killed in Chhattisgarh state's Dantewada district.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has described the insurgency as India's biggest internal security challenge.

Meanwhile, the rebels blew up rail tracks and killed eight people in three Indian states, after calling a 48-hour strike.

The walkout is to protest against what the Maoists call the "cold-blooded" killing of their top leader, Cherikuri Rajkumar, alias Azad.

Authorities said Azad was killed in a clash on 2 July.

The industrial action has affected parts of the states of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar and Maharashtra.

Early on Monday, the rebels shot dead five male members of a family after dragging them from a house in Dompara village, West Bengal, police said.

They were apparently targeted for supporting the state's governing Communists.

Also on Monday, the Maoists shot dead two officers at a police station in Dantewada district, police said.

The Maoists also blew up a stretch of railway track near the Karmavad station in Giridih district of Jharkhand.

Naxalism is a threat for the whole nation though they hav started it with positive intention but now ended in a shameful way .Strong measures have to been taken like our state A.P did by making a powerful commando force called GREY HOUNDS now hardly we have any traces of Maoists in A.P . para military forces cannot compete with Maoists :emot159:

their are some political situations and some problems which the Federal Govt of India does not care off. their the people automatically turns towards maoists. and India becoming more corruptible these days, so these things automatically converts people minds to a alternative solution like rowdies and others for their problem settlements.
