09:25 the CNS says the plan for Vikrant includes LCA-N, does that mean there is a chance of some production LCA-N being ordered (in very limited numbers) I wonder? Would be weird to mention the NPs as they aren’t IN assets and aren’t combat machines either

Nope, maybe in small numbers for training and limited duties (maybe air to air? as that wont need much payload capability)
Yes in a purely air defence role it would be fine, given that integration with Astra Mk1 and Astra Mk2 is almost done for the Tejas Mk1A. For a carrier training and fleet air defence role, it should be possible to order around 18 Naval LCA jets with IFR and generally at the Tejas Mk1A level avionics wise.
