It is very sad .. ISRO stopped collaborating with them since they could not hold up their end of the partnership. They delayed chandrayaan 2 cause ISRO was counting on their lander . Phobos Grunt also failed

Despite having higher cost of living, SpaceX manages to provide cheaper launch services than India, it was obvious. Their innovative reusable rockets are the pinnacle of engineering.

It will take decades for any Indian private firm to be able to build a GSLV MkIII class launch vehicle on their own, let alone a reusable heavy launch vehicle.

Elon Musk alone was responsible for 80% of space launch by mass, 10% China and other countries 10% this year. This shows his outsized contribution to global space industry.
