DW: India about to become the fourth country to put a craft on the moon | DW News
Russia is depleting Soviet Union's space legacy.
I guess, the Russians won the race with Luna-25 reaching the moon first, eh?Adios Luna-25

Russians should have known beforehand that this thing LUNA won't work, it doesn't works on earth properly people in India know very well and they sent it to Moon....
Can anyone use Game Theory or other relevant methods to help Modi analyze the political risk?Q: Dare Modi attend and watch Chandrayann-3 landing moment this time?View attachment 218940
Good luck for their next attempt. Always a sad news when a scientific exploration goes wrong.Adios Luna-25

I'm afraid their next attempt won't be for a while(atleast > 10 years). Atleast, not something that is useful in any degree for scientific fostering. If I am not wrong, even CNSA is actively shunning ROSCOSMOS.Good luck for their next attempt. Always a sad news when a scientific exploration goes wrong.
Modi is going to be in South Africa.....Q: Dare Modi attend and watch Chandrayann-3 landing moment this time?View attachment 218940
Chandrayaan-2 was the closest we came to mirroring the NASA-ISRO partnership, however they were unable to fulfill expectations from their end:Looks like Russian space program does not have clear cut roadmap. After the space taxi services to ISS for decades in last few years nothing specific from their end. Also for an weird somehow ISRO and ROSCOSMOS does not enjoy the same relationship that ISRO has with NASA at this time.
Now the war also complicated their space industry.
ROSCOSMOS has heavily decayed. It is simply not the same agency that once operated when the Soviet Union existed. From what I understand Luna-25 is the first Russian spacecraft to have successfully exited the Earth's orbit ever since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Considering their glorious past in the Soviet Union (at least as far as the space program is concerned), I'm surprised that they have allowed themselves to regress this much. It's a shame to see that happen at a time when pretty much every other major power is planning on going full steam ahead with ambitious plans.Looks like Russian space program does not have clear cut roadmap. NASA's case is for recent years though. We have been exceptionally close to Europe since beginning of our space program.Looks like Russian space program does not have clear cut roadmap. After the space taxi services to ISS for decades in last few years nothing specific from their end. Also for an weird reason somehow ISRO and ROSCOSMOS does not enjoy the same relationship that ISRO has with NASA now. We never collaborated with Russian for joint mission, compared to that we have good projects with NASA like the NISAR.
