Taliban routing drugs to West via India: DRI | India News - Times of India
U Sudhakar Reddy / TNN / Updated: Jul 22, 2021, 13:16 IST

2-3 minutes

HYDERABAD: A Taliban link to drug smuggling to the West via Hyderabad and other Indian cities has emerged in the probe by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI). Heroin consignments are frequently being caught at airports in the past few weeks, with three cases in Hyderabad alone.
It is suspected that heroin is sourced from Afghanistan and destined to Australia and other western countries via Mozambique, Johannesburg, Doha, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and New Delhi. In all the three cases booked in Hyderabad, mules from African countries travelled from Johannesburg.

Next time they catch peddlers, they should just ensure they die of the same drug overdose.

Ghanta kisi ko pata chalega.

These asswipes are in it for money and don't give a shit about their victims. Once these 'carriers' and 'peddlers' start paying the price with their lives, the trade will slow down if not die out.

Lavde ka koi Milord prove kar payega.

Opium addiction is being weaponised by Pak and China

DESTABILISING INDIA: Opium is very addictive and hence is strictly regulated in hospitals. Heroin can be injected, snorted, or smoked and is even more addictive, leading to uncontrollable cravings and is psychoactive (mind-altering). The mind-altering property of narcotics has been extensively used by religious extremists, criminals, smugglers and terrorists to isolate, indoctrinate and recruit hapless individuals, especially the youth for their nefarious activities including as suicide bombers. The Pakistan deep state is enabling smuggling of narcotics across land borders, by air and by sea, especially targeting Jammu-Kashmir and Punjab to get local recruits for violent and terrorist acts and also to cause civil unrest and social instability. The Chinese are encouraging narcotics smuggling from Myanmar into India’s Northeast for the same purpose. Targeting our youth is targeting our future and our security. Strategically important individuals or their children are targeted with narcotics to compromise them. Another prime target has been celebrities and influencers in India especially by mixing narcotics with alcohol so as to popularise and mainstream drug usage and addiction. Just like drug addiction ruins psychological and physical health, a narcotic epidemic will ruin our national financial, psychological and social health.

This might be an infamous opinion, but I think our police needs to take cue from Philippines' Dueterte here. If supply cannot be crushed, crush the demand. Gun down the addicts with no reprieve and no consideration for age. Those parents, relatives, etc. found hiding their addict family members should be treated as abettors in drug crimes and dealt with that way. Once a few thousand addict youth are gunned down, the rest will know not to touch the substance. The next teenager or youth who 'wants a kick' will know that they'd be sent to the guts of hell and will refrain from it.

It sounds brutal, but if law, awareness campaigns, social workers, NGOs, etc. are not effective, then fear factor will be.

Singapore is an example. Anyone, regardless of their status, if caught with drugs is executed, faster than you can spell that word. Consequently, drug-crime is almost nil there (there are attempts, but are foiled and dealt with). Unless the police and governments are willing to take a cold-hearted approach, this won't change.

Narco- Terrorism in Jammu Kashmir
The “Golden Crescent” is a term that resonates with a notorious reputation in the world of illicit narcotics. Nestled in the heart of South Asia, this region has earned infamy as one of the globe’s principal hubs for the production of illegal drugs, most notably opium and heroin. Comprising three key countries, Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan, Golden Crescent has long been at the epicentre of the global drug trade, presenting a complex and multifaceted challenge for governments, law enforcement agencies, and international organizations.
