My 4GB Corsair memory came in 2 x 2 GB chips... It costed me about Rs. 6400 i.e. About Rs. 3200 per chip... That's a little steep compared to some of the normal brands, but performance wise I have got a real boost because of Corsair...

It costed me Rs. 65k without the speakers and monitor...

I basically decided to preserve my old speakers (5 channel surround) and monitor (19 inch high definition LCD) and so I guess I'm getting a good deal otherwise...

It's triple-channel. Either three or six modules, you can use 1 GB modules too. So it's either 3 GB, 6 GB, or 12 GB, or even 24 GB, on the LGA-1366 platform. You can use two or one module too.

Have fitted 2 x 2 GB RAM... It works... I don't see any problems... cheers...

And, Tarun is right, it is triple channel memory, but that doesn't mean that 4GB won't work...

Just make sure your modules are on the blue-coloured slots on the board.

xebex !! how much this config costs? we use HP work stations for stress analysis of avionics mounting trays. it takes about 7 hours for completing FEM based analysis. may be with this monster the time can be reduced drastically.
