My Industrialising Gujarat

Per capita : 3000$ (respectable almost reching 2nd world standard)

South indians IT Tamil Nadu.

Per capita : 2800.

Nobody is asking to stick to agriculture, read my post again.

Gujarat was successful because it "shifted" from agriculture to industry systematically.
UP never sticked to agriculture but never even emphasized any type of economy. It was just a "dhakka pale".



When your agro system is screwed up, you can't even imagine to change to other one. Otherwise, industrialization will be failed and population will starve.

Initial investments for industry needs money in common people's pocket.

In brief, I'm saying,
"SHIFTING" to industry isn't that easy you guys are thinking, when you are not even able to generate basic revenue from Farming, only God knows how you will bring capital for industry and train workers for it.

Well, i guess i misunderstood your point in your previous post.

Thats why i said few minutes ago on another forum that Even yogi cant change UP.

He needs one more turm to change face of UP economy.

Even UP has immense potential but needs time. Wavier for farmers on loans are just tiny steps.
Economy can be re planned for labour intensive jobs which will shift from richer states to UP.
