Price of phones fall because millions are mass produced due to the value it adds to the people!

Spacecrafts have been landing on the moon for THE LAST FIFTY YEARS!! Moon landing didn’t start with Chandrayaan-2, for you to project a price drop from now on!!
Also no space agency currently is exploring moon/mars with the intention of bringing back minerals to Earth. Can you state one agency that has this objective?

It’a Comic book stuff that other unqualified writers put into their ‘articles’ that mining is an objective!!
There are too many loopholes sir.
Billions of mobile users are now there what makes you think there will not be MOON RESOURCES BUYERS.
Mind you I am talking here about LONG HAUL.
USA is still spending now on moon as you speaks off and fifty years have already passed.

M done with it, it may happens after 5/6 decades then i am not alive. So, how can i prove it now for u if i am sure i am not alive .... believe what u want to believe and i believe science&tech.Good luck.

There is only one thing running the entire humanity from becoming insane is HOPE.
In the long haul Humans maybe mating with alien species to produce human-alien hybrids (anything is possible!!). But no space agency currently on Earth is working with that objective in mind.

I can understand that sometimes the line between comic books and scientific objectives might appear thin to some people.

ALIENS are NOT PROVEN TILL NOW .... but Moon exists and moon exploration was started long ago.Hope u know the difference.

Comics!! u means one spider bites u and u become spider man.... if ur knowledge about science is from comics then sorry don't quote me again. :pound:
Just because you add a stupid giggly face, it doesn’t make u smart!
The subject is mining other planetary bodies! Why slyly change to ‘exploration’?
In FIFTY years of moon landings who has mined squat on moon? Who has even tried to mine squat on moon.
Just so that you know, everything you said on the subject is material for comic books...not science! Well, i’ll Cut you some slack....it might be ‘science fiction’

I can understand sir.... your logic but I don't want india to fall behind in new technology discovery.
People in ISRO when they developed chandrayaan rover they certainly hoped it will need to new discovery similarly with curiosity, sirji why don't you think these are mechanical Columbus and Vasco de Gama.

It’s science exploration! They’re trying to find out answers.
But in FIFTY years of moon landings, there’s never been an intention to bring back ‘gold’, ‘’platinum’ etc!

So the correct figures one should use as analogy is Charles Darwin....who went to strange places looking to study and not to loot

The chines have started landing on moon using landers/rovers after 2010. India also joining with small steps in 2019.
Does anybody here know why unkal stopped 'landing' on moon after 1980. They are sending 'Orbiter's afterwords. I find it strange that unkal did not 'colonized' moon even after keeping a 'FOOT' on that land in 1969.

ABSOLUTELY INCORRECT!!!

The biggest projects are for pure research...Large Hadron Collider, Gravitational interferometer, Neutrino detectors etc....

Technology is developed based on scientific principles learnt. But science itself is purely about learning the unknown.....some of which become useful technology and some just remains as information/knowledge!
My statement is absolutely correct. Knowledge is gained for potential technology. Case is different that not all of science becomes technology, that doesn't mean that government agencies & private companies carry out R&D for "curiosity".

Yes, LHC, Gravitational interferometer and neutrino detector, all are working to find scientific principles to be applied later.

Uncle was there for space race only. Asian space race is for needs.

Private companies are diff! But governments fund ‘fundamental sciences’ purely to further the ‘knowledge’ with no expectation that it would yeild profitable technology.
Ask any scientist....even after they’ve discovered something. They’ll claim that they have no application mind!

You may not be closely linked to the field of fundamental sciences!

Have you heard on of patents on scientific discoveries? If there’s no IP on science then how does a respective government or organization expect to profit
One Pedophile poppet from Arabia traveled on donkey and split the moon to the half ..... This is called Comic book but billion plus take it as truth and kills u if u say otherwise

I simply said after 5/6 decades there will be mining on moon u think it is impossible... OK all the best.
everthing u’re saying is perfect comic book stuff.

I didn’t say mining is impossible, I said it’s infeasible to transport it back to Earth! Predicting something for 5 is 6 decades ahead is a clever ploy to not be living at that time to face the humiliation of incorrect prediction!

FYI, it’s already 5 decades since moon landing...and no one has thought of bringing back moon minerals!!

It may seem impossible today but we are gonna regret it if China will be mining mad gold tomorrow and we are stuck here fixing toilet problems.

Industrial expansion works only through an economy of scale. To mine a celestial body successfully, we'd need: cheap inter-planetary transport, cheap space crew who can double as highly skilled specialists like engineers, biologists, cheap bio-habitats, forces to protect these investments, etc etc.

RIght now we(as humans) are not even able to send one moon mission without titanic planning and costs, and people are dreaming of profit through mining asteroids. We have none of the tech needed to accomplish any of the aforementioned tasks in any meaningful way. We first need to develop all that.

And, these days you can't stick a flag and stake claim. Not like you could do it back in the days either. You first need a occupying force to enforce that claim. As far as our country goes, "discovering" any covetable resource would be disastrous as others can get to it first. We need to not stake claim, but build tech to have a meaningful Space Force. Then occupy.

Helium-3 is a very rare gas with the potential to fuel clean nuclear fusion power plants. However, one of the problems is that the nearest supply of helium-3 is on the Moon.
Helium 3 is concentrated on moon's pole. Chandrayan-2 is landing here and chines are also landing here. What a coincidence. :biggrin2:

Government doesn't throw knowledge in bin after obtaining that. It tries to applicate it wherever applicable in technology. Rest is archived.
Sooner or later, maps and composition of planets studied will be used when someone actually has to do something with them.
Same with quantum studies to carry out subnuclear changes to make new elements.

I didn't ask for this kind of response. It's you who's sounding dumber.
Establishments search for resources of future. There's no reason to spend that much just for "curiousity" by government who has lot of real fronts to take care here at earth back.

Your "curiousity" rhetoric doesn't have any reason or any logic by many many miles.

Dude! It’s clear that you don’t understand the field of science....for that matter humans’ yearning to simply ‘know’.

Govt funds research and development with an end goal in mind. There is not simple curiosity, but a desire to better lives of their citizens.

Private citizens, entities, and organisations can and often do fund for curiosity.

Humans don't simply yearn to "know" either. We use everything and we learn everything in hope to use it some day. If resource investment is high, for sure the intent isn't entertainment for sure.

Sooner you realise it, better for you.

If there’s anyone who can blab with complete ignorance of the course of human history, then it must be you. Please stop! I am moving on.

Okay, since you have so much jaankaari. Tell us 5 scientific endeavour any govt around the world took on simple curiosity without an end goal in mind to benefit the citizens or themselves. Monarchies don't count. Go.
