I went over my previous proposal of a modern Indian Army infantry section.

It looks like keeping the LMG and DMR in the same Fire Team as the Section Leader helps direct better fire control. For reference, Bravo engages the enemy and Alpha performs the flanking maneuver.

Bravo Team - 5 Man :

Section Leader - 1IC
1 x Sig 716i (7.62x51 mm)
1 x Browning Hi Power (9x19 mm)

Rifleman/ Grenadier
1 x AK 203 (7.62x39 mm)
1 x OFB Multi Grenade Launcher (40 mm)

Rifleman/ Marksman
1 x Sig 716i (7.62x51 mm) (DMR Config)

Rifleman/ Ammunition Carrier
1 x Sig 716i (7.62x51 mm)

LMG Gunner
1 x Negev NG7 LMG/SAW (7.62x51 mm)

Alpha Team - 5 Man :

Team Leader - 21C
1 x Sig 716i (7.62x51 mm)
1 x Browning Hi Power (9x19 mm)

Rifleman/ Ammunition Carrier
1 x AK 203 (7.62x39 mm) (UBGL( (40 mm)

Rifleman
1 x Sig 716i (7.62x51 mm)

Rifleman
1 x Sig 716i (7.62x51 mm)

Rifleman / Missileer
1 x Carl Gustav RCL (84 mm)
1 x AK 203 (7.62x39 mm)

Both squads should have LMGs.

Both squads should have LMGs.
There are only 16,479 Negev 7 LMGs that were ordered. This means that about 12-14,000 Negev 7 LMGs would be in the hands of Indian Army infantry sections assuming that 4-6,000 LMGs are to be kept in reserve.

14,000 LMG x 1 per 10 Man Section = 140,000 troops having access to the LMG or our frontline infantry strength.

72,400 Sig 716i in service + 72,000 Sig 716i to be ordered.

Rest will get the Bren L4 variant LMGs to go with their Ak 203 as rear echleon Agniveer troops.
