IA is also guilty of good gear for photo ops🥲. Just look at the gear you see in exercises and tell me that's widespread. Though saying Taliban has better gear is just ridiculous.
Most of our infantry is still what you call poorly equipped and in smooth tongue language, a sub optimally equipped force. Simply lack of good equipment and respective training in that area is impeding the full capability of force

Depends on what you are looking for, For ex during exercises the soldiers dont wear the plate carriers while in ops from what we have seen they use plate carriers + load bearing vest combo. On the other hand the MKU ACH is limited to Frontline soldiers right now and other commands are yet to be issue them en masse.

Decisions like this made me question the competence of IA in procurements, what kind of clowns take these decisions. That's not even a full squadron of attack heli. What does IA plan to do with these 6 Apaches, fire tactical nukes? I have already given up on these sorry state of affairs.
Hello IA, please look at your step-systems like lch, luh, Atags, indian UAVs. Ordering present indian weapons like namica and Arjun in measly nunbers and waiting for decades for unobtanium Russian Natasha or American Cindy.
I really want govt. to shove Indian weapons down the throat of Indian armed forces. This shit can't be tolerated anymore after Russian debacle where west put tons of sanctions.

When even Ka52 with dircm are getting shot down, these measly 6 Apaches are at best a days worth in a war.

Only pics out there are of exercises or of insurgency area in J&K or of LOC deployed troops. Only they are getting some new equpmt. In limited numbers in a non-uniform way, basically what we call standardising weapons composition in squads and formulating uniform procedures. Weapons among squads vary like clothes in a store, which is strange and very ironic for the army which which prioritises uniformity and discipline as it's ethos. Coming to that, uniform discipline in J&K has been in a very bad state.
Now apart from above forces, there remains a large chunk of forces about which we don't have any source to see their state apart from some random pics which still shows troops with old helmets and stupid magzine vests.
This emergency buy won't solve much, unless a large amount of equipments are bought and standardised from top to bottom.
I am very keen to know about the network integration of infantry in present battlefield scene, if there is any at all.
