Holding a Bren like a SAW or Negev...I cannot see this still Genrols like our soldiers holding a bren and walking like as if they are using SAW, Minimi or Negev...How much energy our soldier is wasting without mordern weapons..God Saves..

Noob question, but if a guy gets hit by one of those 7.62 AK rounds while wearing one of these, is he protected? like is it bulletproof? i.e does the plate stop the bullet? get it to ricochet?
No , a Kalashnikov bullet if not kill but will put the victim out of action.
And almost no body armor can stop a kalash bullet

Level-IV plates were specifically bought to stop the Chinese steel core bullets that got into the valley since last few years
But it adversely affects the mobility since it is clunky and heavy AF
NIJ Level-III plates would be great for the role imho

Older plates cannot, but that's why those big ones

So these are to stop those 5.66 bullets then?
Basically I just read the BPJs are for protection against handgun ammo types, plate carriers are for protection vs AR ammo types, I guess the 7.62 is also used for sniper rifles.

Special forces guys use JPC/LWPC plate carriers which give minimal protection but weigh very less
But Infantrymen can afford to be heavy AF
For example this one weighs little shy of 20 KGs
