Better cancel AK-203 and select a 5.55x45 NATO AR-15 a standard issue assault rifle.
7.62x39 is a good calibre. Especially for the areas our army is deployed in, where distance can change dramatically due to terrain. Shooting upwards dramatically decreases the force a bullet carries.
For carbines, which are restricted to urban environment, we can definitely go for 5.56s, but that wont solve the logistics.
But I am slightly averse to Ak203 or any of the AK platform, simply because it always gives off that jihadi type feel, JK.. (not really). And it will be another platform that we will buy even more than ruskies themselves (like kamov ka 226), subsidising their purchase of Ak12s for their military.
India could have gone for IWI ACE 31/32. But now it will take too long to begin another proposition.
What happened to Multi Calibre Individual Weapon System (MCIWS) ??

MCIWS is now a SCIWS of 6.8x43mm SPC.

So they have ditched the multi calibre approach? MCIWS was supposed to fire 5.56 NATO, 7.62x39 and 6.8 Remington. They just ditched the other two barrels?? Why would they do that? If anything, they should have kept the 7.62 barrel.
Really, how many types of ammunition do they want to carry?

That's the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP), known in US Army service as Army Combat Uniform (ACU) pattern. The ECWCS clothing kits came from US, so in that camo.

But US Army doesn't use this anymore, they switched to Multicam-based OCP.
UCP is the name of camo pattern the combat uniform is called ACU or Army Combat Uniform. The US Army still uses the Army Combat Uniform but it now issued with OCP as standard instead of UCP. ACU replaced the BDU or Battle Dress Uniform which was the previous combat uniform of the US Armed forces.
