Read again what i said, thats what i said those right now on the front line are better equipped than those elsewhere, also the Quality of the uniform is meh so commanders in hot zone overlook it because of high tempo of ops. Also if you are talking about combat troop those stand around 5.5+ lakh IIRC and 1.59 Lakh was the deal size for MKU Helmets so as a example you dont have to speculate here but its out in the open that a fraction uses MKU while rest uses older helmet.Only pics out there are of exercises or of insurgency area in J&K or of LOC deployed troops. Only they are getting some new equpmt. In limited numbers in a non-uniform way, basically what we call standardising weapons composition in squads and formulating uniform procedures. Weapons among squads vary like clothes in a store, which is strange and very ironic for the army which which prioritises uniformity and discipline as it's ethos. Coming to that, uniform discipline in J&K has been in a very bad state.
Now apart from above forces, there remains a large chunk of forces about which we don't have any source to see their state apart from some random pics which still shows troops with old helmets and stupid magzine vests.
This emergency buy won't solve much, unless a large amount of equipments are bought and standardised from top to bottom.
I am very keen to know about the network integration of infantry in present battlefield scene, if there is any at all.
