Only pics out there are of exercises or of insurgency area in J&K or of LOC deployed troops. Only they are getting some new equpmt. In limited numbers in a non-uniform way, basically what we call standardising weapons composition in squads and formulating uniform procedures. Weapons among squads vary like clothes in a store, which is strange and very ironic for the army which which prioritises uniformity and discipline as it's ethos. Coming to that, uniform discipline in J&K has been in a very bad state.
Now apart from above forces, there remains a large chunk of forces about which we don't have any source to see their state apart from some random pics which still shows troops with old helmets and stupid magzine vests.
This emergency buy won't solve much, unless a large amount of equipments are bought and standardised from top to bottom.
I am very keen to know about the network integration of infantry in present battlefield scene, if there is any at all.
Read again what i said, thats what i said those right now on the front line are better equipped than those elsewhere, also the Quality of the uniform is meh so commanders in hot zone overlook it because of high tempo of ops. Also if you are talking about combat troop those stand around 5.5+ lakh IIRC and 1.59 Lakh was the deal size for MKU Helmets so as a example you dont have to speculate here but its out in the open that a fraction uses MKU while rest uses older helmet.

6 makes no sense but such things are bound to happen if your Air Force and Army fight over who will have CAS heptrs
Problem is why 6 Apaches when you can have several dozens of lch which are easier to get, no problem with MoD as Indian system, HELINA has already passed user trials to be clear and is ready for production. Capability wise or anywise 6 Apaches don't make sense, if they would have bought the 39 original required then it would have made sense.

Share info to lch, not a chance, what led you to think that would be so and Boeing even allow to let us have such capability, Hvt had already said that no such capability exists between apache and lch

Why? CAS is primary task of army, i would rather say transfer almost all the heptrs to Army
That is another way to look at it .
First , why won't army order lch ?
It can carry four pylon? Can't it ?

Then why India buying US weapons ? Only reason IA buying Apache is longbow and sharing info to Army assets according to IA . IA apache is not IAF apache so question which one are you talking about. If you are saying is true, Apache not going to provide any advantage against pakistan or china. IA, IAF and IN uses their own communication systems. Also all radio links can use open common channel.
We use our communication systems or specified common systems and not usa systems in us weapons, and Boeing integrate it, it is must and important to sell a weapons.
Issue is not with apache or boeing but with IA, IAF, LCH, hvt, hal, goi,etc may be lch don't have a radio or any kind of info sharing capability.[su30mki can share info with plaaf or usaf jets or civilian jets]
