Are they all real pics? Or PS work? All the mustangs should be in private collection. I'm sure no one will be allowed to come close to the Raptors

Fighting the Taliban in regulation pink undies

May 15, 2009 08:00am

A SOLDIER battling the Taliban is making headlines and proving that real men do wear pink undies.
An Associated Press photographer captured 19-year-old Army specialist Zachary Boyd fighting off a Taliban ambush in Afghanistan - in his underwear. The photo of Boyd, clad in the pink "I *heart* NY" printed boxers ended up on the front page of the New York Times.

His mother said her son was sleeping when someone opened fire on his base and he didn't have time to put on his uniform or boots.

Boyd called his parents in Texas on Monday to let them know he might be in the paper. His father said that after he logged onto the New York Times' Web site he laughed for the next five minutes.

"I knew he was a boxer guy, I knew that for sure," Tommy Boyd said. "I did not know they were pink, and I didn't know they said, 'I love New York.'"

Hey! Three people looked at the US soldier wearing pink undies with "I love New York and hearts" printed on them, shooting at the Taliban crap.
Who do you want to go over there and shoot at them? You? Be our guest!
You might find this hard to believe but he wants to be in New York with his Mom and girlfriend. He wants the biggest decision of his day to be where he will take his girl tonight, not to wake up and not have time to pull on his pants because he is being shot at..
If you think that American, Brits and Australian guys want to be over there at all........in your dreams!
Get over there yourselves and tell the disliked Christians to go home.
Anyone want to fight?

Hate to break it to you but in the forces most people agree with the mission in Afghanistan and are perfectly willing to be there, hell a lot of us welcome it. Its a chance to do your job for real, and that is not a mindset instantly changed by going out there. Many of my men after we came back said they couldn't wait to get back out there, and we didn't have a walk in the park.
A lot of people are even joining the forces these days because they want to go to Afghanistan, and everybody who joins these days is willing to go, they have to be as they know that within a few years they will.
Well that is the British army anyway. Can't speak for the Aussies or Americans.

Including my three nephews Shiny. But generally it needs to be pointed out to the world that there is a human face to the 'news of the world'. In this pic, that face is wearing pink undies with "I love NY" on them.

One thing that always irk's me about the news coverage of the ongoing ops in the sandpit is how little they actually show of the day to day life of soldiers, even with all the media reports.

Best of luck to your nephews by the way.

Thanks. One is a trainee loadmaster on a C-17 and two are army.

I guess the fact that they cant take cameras with them has a lot to do with it. We always want pics of where they are and they cant take any

There has been another sinister reason in America all these years too.
The press in the US was hostile to the military because they were Democrat controlled and didnt want to say anything good that made Pres Bush look good
