Medvedev vows to target terrorist families and accomplaces

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev called on Friday for a crackdown on people who provide any form of assistance to terrorists.
"It is not important what they do - make soup or wash their clothes," the president said at a meeting with the leaders of parliamentary parties. "When we are talking about such crimes, there cannot be any leniency depending on the role played."
Medvedev's comments come just four days after two deadly suicide bombings hit the Moscow metro, killing at least 40 people and injuring dozens more. The bombs were followed on Wednesday by more suicide attacks in Dagestan.

Three militants involved in Moscow bombing killed

Moscow: Three militants of a "criminal gang" allegedly involved in the deadly March 29 twin blasts on the Moscow Metro network that claimed over 40 lives have been killed in an encounter with Russian security forces.

Three men of the gang, including the one who had brought the female suicide attackers to Moscow and accompanied one of them to the site, were killed, FSB Security Service Chief Alexander Bortnikov said during his meeting with President Dmitry Medvedev.

"The three men of the gang to our great regret, could not be captured alive. They posed stiff armed resistance at the time of arrest and were destroyed," he was quoted as saying by ITAR-TASS news agency.

Investigators had identified the suicide bombers as Dzhanat Abdurakhmanova (Abdulayeva), 17, and Mariyam Sharipova, 28, both residents of Russia's North Caucasus republic of Daghestan.

More than 40 people were killed and 160 injured in the terror strikes on Moscow's busy Lubyanka and Park Kultury metro stations during morning rush hours.

Meanwhile, in a fresh attack eight technicians were killed and several policemen were injured in an ambush by militants in Daghestan.

The technicians were on their way to repair a TV and cellular communication tower, when their vehicle blew up by a landmine planted on the road side. A police column moving on the same road came under fierce fire from the militants, Newsru website reported.

"During the pursuit of the gang that attacked the TV relay tower, four police officers received minor injuries," a police officer was quoted as saying by the website.

Getting carried away doesn't help, when one is trying to fight terror. Targeting family members would not only be below the civilized norm but it would also help the cause of the terrorist groups.

When the civilized world fights the terrorists, we'll always fight with one hand tied behind our back, because there is a certain limit that we can't cross. But its those limitations that make us civilized and distinguish us from them. Let's not throw that away.

We have to understand jihadi terrorism out of the prism of just religion as money plays a major role too, we all know elite class mullahs use religion as a shield to implement their nefarious designs, but majority of the pawns are poor and their families get monetary benefits. Targeting family does not mean assassinations, but blocking accounts , confiscating property, all-in-all making life living hell for people who fund their lives, by sending/selling their kids for money/jihad to wreck havoc on others (for example, lets say pakistani-muhammad ajmal kasab the Pig was sold by his father for Rs. 400,000 (approx) to Lashkar-e-Taiba/ISI).

Another point which is very important which we forget is that a suicide bomber or jihadi may not have any regards for his life, however he values life/wellbeing of his family more than anything (human nature), making life miserable for the family will be a far more effective deterrent than a Multi-Billion dollar home-land security apparatus. Lets keep our shallow humanist and Human rights BS aside, and understand this method have been implemented by US in an effective manner, and I have no doubt that Russia has realized their so called compliance to International human rights have not paved way while dealing with Global jihad.

Setting a no Bull Shit policy is the need of the day in Russia (sadly it can never be implemented in a country such as India where politicians are power/money/opportunity/vote hungry, they would rather repeal all such existing policies to please the mullah mentality population to get Block Votes), I am sure Russia will set many examples and these jihadis will get jitters and chill running down their bones when thinking of Targeting innocent Russians!

All The Best Russia!
