$10,000 a head: Radicals put a bounty on UK journalist in Ukraine

[TWEET]https://twitter.com/GrahamWP_UK/status/463374204315140096[/TWEET]

The ultra-nationalists also have a cameraman working for RT in the violence-gripped city of Odessa on their radar, RT's Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan confirmed in a statement.

"Our camera-man-stringer in Odessa received a call from the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU). [They] said that he is now on the radar of the Right Sector. [His] former colleagues gave him up. SBU said that the Right Sector now has all his phone numbers and addresses. They gave him up for his anti-Maidan views which he never kept secret," Simonyan posted on her Twitter.

RT's Editor-in-Chief's statement comes after the channel's correspondent Irina Galushko said on her Twitter that the camera-man she is working with had received threats.

What is Putin waiting for? While NATO is overunning Ukraine, Putin seems to want to wait and watch!! Welcome.
Well, Putin made it very clear that Russia won't get involved in the conflict in a near future.
All military movements on borders stopped, threats of using force have disappeared from public statements of Russian officials.
Now Ukraine is on it's own - no NATO invasion, no Russian invasion - only inner bloody conflict started by Kiev junta.

So I suggest to rename the thread into "Civilian war in Ukraine".

According to officially published data, five people were shot dead, eight died when they fell from a height in an attempt to escape fire and those who pursued them, and 24 people died from burns and carbon monoxide poisoning. The death toll includes six women. Those who died were aged 18-62.

MP Oleg Tsaryov and a number of other Ukrainian politicians have already told journalists that the authorities deliberately understated the death count in fear of popular unrest. Local media said, with reference to unnamed law enforcers and forensic medical experts, that 72 or even 116 were killed.

Civil war provoked by Kiev authorities raging in Ukraine - Luhansk Region Council

"Half of the country has been classified as law offenders and terrorists only because people see the future of their own country differently than the politicians who have come to power," the statement said. "Instead of talking to them, clearing up positions and finding compromises, Kiev has started not a counter-terrorism but a terrorist operation against millions of people. This first army operation in the contemporary history of Europe against fellow citizens which uses both regular army units and paramilitary groups is a blatant act of terror against the people," the document said.

YES, this was a provocation same style as sniper shooting on Institutskaya in Kiev.
Yes. It was a provocation. But shot it with a Pro-Russian side. Trade House "Athena", have been Pro-Russian side on the right, and the Pro-Ukrainian side from the left side. Also the location of the barricades, shows that these weapons are used with the Pro-Russian side. It is now easy to draw conclusions from: who is right, who is wrong. Then, everything happened spontaneously. For you shoot and you are forced to defend themselves.

Terrible events on the " Kulikovo field"- let the conclusions of the prosecutor's office. Molotov cocktails and stones flew from both sides. There were not only peaceful protesters. The most part peaceful Pro-Russian activists, previously passed to "the complex memorial of 411 battery", because "the Kulikovo field" was to be the military parade on May 9. Tents on the "Kulikovo field" and so began to collect and 3 May, they would have gone. But someone profitable this the provocation.

About Slavyansk, I'm not going to comment, because many lies with both sides. Each side has its own truth. I can speak only about the events in Odessa, because I saw it with my own eyes.

First of all, thank you for joining DFI.

I have noticed a lot of discussion and have been following Tweets by Novorossiya, Anti-Maidan, etc.. The problem is, it is all in Russian, and thus, does not penetrate the English speaking international world. I think you guys should get into English fora more and present your side of the story, to defeat the misinformation campaign being spearheaded by the west.

The Indian government, apparently, is sympathetic to Russia's position, due to historical ties between India and the USSR. It is also in India's interest to have a multi-polar world. You should visit this thread: http://defenceforumindia.com/forum/foreign-relations/60215-do-indians-like-russia-usa.html

Coming back to the thread title, yes, it should be changed, but that would make it less searchable (Search Engine Optimization), as we want to ensure that old links are not messed with.

Continue to post, and invite your English speaking friends here.

You should also look up fellow Russian, @KuleshovOleg, from Severodvinsk.

If Russia = the USSR, - would go first to defend it. But it is not. Russia, the same capitalist state like Ukraine and many other countries. But with Ukraine now wanted to do a new FRG and the GDR.

The biggest fear from the Russian PoV is the strategic arms dump in the Soledar and Voldarsky Salt Mines. If the Right Sector and other Nazi gangs get their hands on these weapons, it will be a humanitarian catastrophe. A group of unidentified gunmen arrived in helicopter(s) and tried to assault this place earlier.

I won't disagree with you. Russia is capitalist. I don't think Putin wants to annex any part of Ukraine. Personally, I do believe that Ukraine should be federalized. Just like Mikhail Gorbachyov refused to use force to prevent secession of Soviet republics, I think the unelected Kiev regime should also not use force against Donetsk, Lugansk, Kharkov, if they want to secede, and certainly not if they do not want to secede but want federalization. This is also what Putin wants.

The eastern regions contribute more in taxes. They are the ones who mainly pay for the arms, and the soldiers. It is a shame that the Kiev regime is sending these very soldiers, and arms, paid for by the taxpayers, to murder them. This is a real shame.

Also, I have very little faith in that Arsenic Yatz (Nuland's Boy). He is the one who secretly shipped out 33 metric tons of Ukrainian gold. Now, the IMF has given loan to the Kiev regime. Note, that the IMF will never give such a huge loan without collateral. Putin never asked for Ukrainian gold, and offered to buy Ukrainian government bonds.

I respect your position - unity for Ukraine. However, I can support that only if there is federalization. The eastern regions do not want to be ruled by a western puppet.

I don't mind that. It is not just about the real estate. It is about the people who live there.

In my opinion, Ukraine is just the Orange portion. Most of the territory of Ukraine was donated to Ukraine by Russia. Funny, these Ukrainian Nationalists refuse to acknowledge the truth.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed into law the establishment of a national Russian card payment system on Monday. The NSPK (National Card Payment) system will ensure the smooth operation of electronic payments across Russia.

Both Visa and MasterCard blocked specific US-sanctioned Russian banks from using their payment systems in March amid the crisis in Ukraine, prompting sharp criticism for blocking bank operations.
http://rt.com/business/156912-russian-putin-card-payment/

In the first quarter of 2014, Russia accounted for 2 percent, or $2.2 billion, of MasterCard's revenues. Following the April sanctions, Moscow has moved to set up its own card payment system to shore up the home market against US sanctions like those targeting the Rossiya and SMP Banks.

This new Russian propaganda. You cannot rewrite history and cut boundaries, because you lIKe. There are TODAY. There is the state of Ukraine. But to go on the principle that "was donated " or "one nation" is the path of Hitler.
In the formation of the state of Ukraine, Ukrainians never stood back and watched them all this was donated They also fought for their land and with czar against Poles and Tatar,, and 1WW and 2WW.

I am sorry, I am not going to admit anything.
What shows clearly what kind of person you are in this particulary case. As I said - sad story, you where obviously in mistake, but even now you are not able to admit that.

I did not make an unsupported claim.
Of coure you did.
You had posted a plot, a rumor taken from some russian website, I post in hours polish MoD dementi -what is mucht stronger then some website, plus I shown that there is no single evidence on mass media or "personal media - YT, Facebook, etc sucht action.

In fact you are posting ONLY russian propaganda claims. Part of them are based on truth (dyscyrmination russian lannguage citizens of estern Uraina after february) part od them are pure nonsense based on very weak rumors (polish army mobilisation, army deploys to the east etc).

I posted a source.
No, you didn't -first check what can be a sources and what not.

You posted one website plot.
I had posted polish MoD statment.

You posted nothing then bubling about "we don't known what is the truth bla bla bla"
I posted info about FACT that in Polandd there is no single evidence in mass media and personla media of sucht actions + MoD statsment + newspepers stetsment about the same.

In other way: you had posted nothing valuable more then ONE site interent rumors. I posted dozen of the facts.

And now after mounth you are a person unable to claim that you had posted fake news from some propaganda website.
Noty boy...

Can you confirm the other source that I presented, which said that Sikorsky, the Polish Ambassador, arranged for several neo-Nazi Right Sector radicals to travel to Poland under the excuse of "student exchange" and were given arms training, and that the case is now in front of the prosecutor of Poland presented by anti-Nazi Poles?
Yes, it the same bullshit like fake Polish Army mobilisation.
there is no nazi-camps in Poland. Sucht camps are on Ukrine and Russia - both countries have problem whit neo-natzis.
And any support for neo-natzi grupus in Poland is forbidden by law. Strictly forbiden.

What more:
1. Polish citizens hate nao-natiz and UPA former members - it's history matter.
2. In Poland it's unable to hide sucht action - even stupid one CIA "black hole" where found and lake to media in 2003 and 2004(!), not even mentioned about possible of some "nazi trening camps".
3. Sikorsky wife is rather famous writer (jewish girl) - Anna Appelbaum. So suporting natzi groups by him is even less possible for this reson...of course not impossible - but again - no single evidence of sucht action. Poland in not Belarus - mass media here are free and they are posting any infos able to find.

This info is again faken.

Well, we can't say for sure who this was - real pro-Russian activists or provokers from nazi organisations. I believe in the second. I think this was just another usage of cynic crowd control technology - kill someone among it and guide the furious anger to a desired direction.

But what bothers me a lot more is the fact, that after these events police had arrested ONLY THE SURVIVORS from anti-maidan groups. NO ONE from the "pro-Ukranian" members was detained. NO ONE from those of them, who were killing people in the eyes of policemen. WHY THE HELL? Mainly this makes me think that it was a joint operation of local police and nazists to suppress and decapitate the protest movement.

And another ugly thing - the first reaction of Ukraine media was as follows: "Many had died in fire but all of them were Russian and Trans-Dniester citizens". It assumes that it's OK to kill Russian and Trans-Dniester citizens.

Yes, molotov cocktails were thrown by both sides, my friend from Odessa confirms this. He was driving from one gasoline station to another and asked to fill his canisters with petrol (for molotovs). Most of shopmen refused because they had cameras and strict order from owners not to sell petrol to activists with canisters. He was lucky enough not to get to the House of Trade Unions in time.

I received this video from him a couple of months ago, you can clearly see his political views =)

I have translated as I could an important declaration from one of the South-East leaders, Oleg Tsarev.

Leader of the "South-East" Oleg Tsarev: Rubicon has been crossed!

Until this time we have been urging Kiev to begin dialogue and negotiations with the South-East. Until this time the dialogue remained in the "corridor of opportunities". But now, after the 2nd of May, after the "Odessa Khatyn" this corridor disappeared. "We will not forgive Odessa!" - Chanting people in all the cities of the Southeast, and this is the truth. This can neither forget nor forgive. Especially when you consider cynical and amoral position of Kiev illegal regime that tried to blame those who were burned alive or was killed by gunmen "right sector" that they had torched Odessa's House of Trade Unions.

The old Ukraine has burned in fire of the "Odessa Khatyn" - the old Ukraine that we knew for more than 20 years. Now everything is different. And our attitude to the Ukrainian processes is different. We urged Kiev to negotiate hoping to save the country. No longer we will. From now the illegal regime in Kiev should urge us to negotiate and we think do it or not.

We our common goal is clear now. This is the independence and sovereignty. First - on May 11 - will be Donetsk and Luhansk republics. And then - we believe in it - all the other areas of the Southeast, that means all Novorussia! And when other south-eastern regions, inspired by the example of Donetsk and Lugansk republics, will declare their independence, we will establish an independent sovereign FEDERATION OF SOUTHEASTERN REPUBLICS - NOVORUSSIA!

At the same time, we continue to hope for a sane majority of central and western Ukraine. They have to go our way of self-determination at the regional level. And then we can try to agree on a joint life within one state - whether a federation or confederation of the new Ukraine.

But all of this will be later. And today we will celebrate the Victory Day and prepare for a referendum. And it is a historic step.

I also want to clarify why a referendum is so important for the residents of Donbass and why we are ready to fight for it. For us this referendum will create a sanitary cordon against the brown plague of the 21st century - NEONAZISM - that creeps upon us from the west.

We have long called for the junta to Kiev: stop the violence, do not start a civil war. We were not heard. Now what happened that happened. Blood and cries of burning people in Odessa are in the abyss between us. The abyss that is impossible to cross.

If international mediators want to arrange talks on "Ukrainian issues", then they should adopt the following: what is happening now in the South-East - it is not an "inside-Ukrainian conflict." It is a conflict between the criminal regime in Kiev, on the one hand, and the new federal state - NOVORUSSIA! And in any negotiations we will perform as an independent party, independent political entity. Recognition of this fact is a precondition for the commencement of any negotiations.
