Basically, the explosion sends shock waves through the armour and the other side of the armour blasts inside. That way, the round doesn't need to penetrate the armour to do damage. Although this is countered easily through multi layered armour. This round is almost phased out everywhere.

Let's talk production cost, training cost, maintenance cost and time to have better overview.

Nah, it's got some of the same design flaws as our T series MBTs, but it's got a more poorly designed turret as well
. So, no thanks, K2s are substandard by today's standards.
