- turret bustle sides
- side skirts
- ballistic side skirts (try to lift them to estimate their weight and tap them to see if they sounds hollow)

I think I'd probably agree with Sovngard: The side skirts and the armour of the turret bustle. Getting to know the exact thickness of the hull side armour (where the ammunition is stored) would be nice, but this cannot be done with a measurement tape.

The modules cannot lifted by a single person, there is some footage from factory showing that it requires two workers to carry them.

Well, I measured leo-2 today.

of course I had some problems whit photo HQ, and I haven't posibility to measure whit tape front hull - becouse I was asked to not doing pictures "whit measure tape on it :) (LOL)

turret left side:

80cm to welding line + circa 4cm to backplate

zoomed:

Turret sides:
31cm from welding to welding line (all 31-32cm whit backplate)

zoomed:

Turret bustle side:

Well -there is some mounted metall part, I check it, and dimension is exatly as I photed - circa 90-100mm for turret side

Turret bustle rear:
25mm

Armour block behind EMES-15 sight.
Well - very bad quality only number 40 is visible. In reality it's circa 62cm to welding line ane whit backplate slighty more (65cm)

Gun mantled mask:
42cm:

Heavy side skirst:
11cm (not 10 not 12 - exatly 11cm...)

Light side skirts:

Driver hatch thickness:
30mm (3cm)

Front hull armour:
well I was in that moment ask to not doing pictures whit measure tape. Armour inside is starting 30mm from hatch edge and it's slopped in teh same angla as it's outside slopped part.
Thickens is like this:

BTW: metal pins (visible on all photos) are placed on eacht 20cm on measure tape (20cm, 40cm, 60cm, 80cm) - so maybe quality is bad but is possible to see thickenss on all photos :)

Back to the Leopard-2A4.
@Andrei_bt

Do You have any plans to corretc some articles on btvt conected whit Leopard-2A4 armour?

You have some analys and pictures whit slighty understimeted data:

I know tak those above was based on knwoledges from 5-7 yers ago, when whas unable to measure leo-2 wiht tape, but now I suppose that without any doubts we all know what thickess is:

+ previous photos (those from a few yers back)

The next day.

Conditions where therible to measurments:

but...

depth form edge of the loader perisciscope welding line (welding line hole) to the backplate into armour

and otustide mesurment:

:D
result?

Yes - OUTSIDE 43-44cm minus INNER 37-38cm = circa 6cm backplate (60mm)

Any countr-thesis? :D

btw: from front plate to welding line 80cm + 6cm backplate (pictures above) = 860mm armour.
WOW more then I suspected :)

Weight of one module is between 90 and 110kg, to lift them up is needed to use 3 soilder strenth (at least two) - they are empty iniside but made from two metal plates whit "something" inside.
