Was thinking about this for a few weeks, noticed quite a number of people are utilising the AI to test it. one aspect that is repeatedly presenting itself is that there is a bias built in to the algorithm, whether the bias is because of the web inputs that it was fed or it has been programmed into it is being debated.

in India's case there more than 15 years of garbage on the internet on India related topics, any ai system fed with this garbade data is bound to be biased. the question is can this bias be proven. only way to find out is asking the ai ChatGpt itself, but it can't be simplistic questions which cater to own confirmation bias, the questions have to be complex enough to negate own biases. and further, if there is bias against India, there will be other biases too.

There must be folks on internet who are figuring out how to ask complex questions to the ai.

ChatGPT lists Trump, Elon Musk as controversial and worthy of special treatment, Biden and Bezos as not. I've got more examples.

in latest response it is characterising AIT as now-discredited theory , in the above posts it called it a controversial theory/hypothesis.

and when further probed, this is the answer. while technically correct, after server overload earlier answer has been removed.

It seems to have learned that chola british war does not exist.

Went a step ahead, with an easy question...

Went ahead, USA has the largest GDP, Luxembourg has the higher per capita GDP.

Went a step even further with a more difficult question and made ChatGPT commit a mistake .
Russia and South Korea have similar GDP sizes but different per capita incomes... South Korea is richer than Russia in every way but...

Follows the same "Appease all, offend none" answer SOP.

I caused Chat GPT to error out while trying to explain why hindu nationalism is bad... Trying to have a normal conversation using logic causes this I have seen.
That said ... I see little difference in "managing" chat gpt from say gaming google search and editing wikipedia articles..

i wont really blame the ai more so on the resources it gets trained on isn't it? chatgpt's practically a dumb ai as i like to call it not like some Cortana Ai that thinks

Top kek .. For turkish nationalism which caused an actual genocide .. The language model is "neutral" with regards to debate and controversy ... No such disclaimers for hindu nationalism however. Hindutva IT ******s need to get on this IMO.
