मृत्तिकवर्णसाहेब मनस्तत्वं आस्माकं देशे बहु गभीरः वर्तते !First of all, my heartfelt gratitude to people who came up with this thread. It's a great initiative. I'm also trying to learn the language.
There's something interesting I would like to share with everyone here. The name SANSKRIT is actually a corruption. Only म् has the Adhikar to be used as an anuswar in grammar but some unknown European linguist owing to his lack of understanding mistranslated M as N, and also ignored the suffix TA.
The actual name of the language is SAMSKRITA.
University Grants Commission (UGC) too recently realised this mistake and is currently working on making all the higher educational institutions in the country drop this corrupted usage.
I'm more than willing to provide sources for this if someone is interested, just let me know.
I WOULD REQUEST EVRYEONE TO NOT STICK TO A COLONIAL MISTAKE AND PLEASE CHANGE THE NAME OF THIS THREAD TO SAMSKRITA IF THAT'S POSSIBLE.
Thanks!
