Impossible. These decisions have been winding their way from one sarkari table to the next among gazillion rounds of chai samosa before being finalized. Nothing here happens in a snap.

But it is an indicator that additional orders for Mk1A are coming.
Not in whole, but help influence the decision or give the final push. All pilots in the IAF who have flown the Tejas praise it, and seeing how slow the upper leadership is, maybe seeing results in the first international exercise with the Tejas post-TACDE finalisation put the final nail in the coffin

After getting L in rafale ccs clearance
Only buzz nothing realizes
In next 10 years Porkies will bleed through their PP to even achieve half of the numerical parity if we place 180+ beasts on the western front.
Only thing left would be to get Baaz equipped with AESA and buy more EW-AWACS, tankers.

Next they need to reduce the man hours by bringing more machines to do the job. Automatize the whole process as much as they can.

Some German, French or American Collab needed to improve the production process. That will help us to build a true fifth gen jet AMCA next.

This stupid chink has been spweing too much bs on reddit but this made me lol. In what world is the JF-17 better than MK1a? Maybe the HMD is its only advantage

Both the Mirage 2000 and the Jas-39e/f are better than the JF-17 and J-10C.
They have similar payloads and the European avionics and weapons that are on the Jas are better that what the J-10C has.
The JF-17 is limited by its small size and unlike the Tejas it is has a metal airframe with conventional design. It should be compared to the HLFT-42.

Yes 8 LCA sqdrn means aprox 160.
123 already ordered, this kind of corroborates the possibility of order of more 40+ LCA.

IAF should stop harping about 114 MRFA. 36 already acquired. Combine their order of 74 with Navy's 26 and then India can ask assembly line for 100+ Rafales.
100+ rafale are not viable, just 36 more will be enough as we are going to have 8-10 squadron of mk2 anyways

It will be over 20 bn + deal and the time line will extend to 2040s now.

Better get them from French in small batches .

Advantage would be faster delivery and in different blocks we will be getting upgraded batch directly.

18-36 now .

Then 18-36 later on.


This will give Tejas ample time to mature as mk2 platform. While Sukhoi upgrade will start by then.

What we need is to become part of the spare part supply chain for Rafale and have an engine to replace snecma m88 later. Utna kaafi hai .

At this point just freakin do anything...MRFA aage nahi badh rha Mk2 ki dates aage badh rhi hai par.
MRFA se order nahi ho rha aur tejas Mk1A bhi order nahi ho rhe bs $2bn wapas jaa rhe hai🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
1990s ke time ka sanctioned strength leke abhi tak baithe hai.
Tb china fuddu tha ab superpower hai 3-4 squadron badh jayenge aur kya 42+ more Mk1A sqdns at least that will keep out sqdn strength afloat.
