the commentator at singapore mentioned that the fighters are from squadron number 18 and 45 as well...given that flying daggers inducted IOC config fighters and all at Singapore are with IFR probe...can we infer that the IOC versions have also been upgraded to FOC versions?
if yes...why aren't they deployed in forward bases yet?

Refuelling probe require changes to plumbing inside the jet and may not be feasible without a full MLU...
And IIRC, refuelling probe was originally supposed to come only in Mk1A jets, but was pushed ahead in Mk1 FOCs itself...
So, 45 Squadron IOCs will be upgraded to FOC standard but without Refuelling probe... Some of them might have already been upgraded, we don't know...

All jets that went to Singapore are FOC jets from 18th squadron... SP21, SP22 and SP24...

The commentator is probably talking about their general role in IAF rather than specifically about the 3 jets...

Or it may also be possible that IAF will operate mix of IOC and FOC jets in each squadron... We will never know...

Actually, he was the one who has been batting in support of Tejas from Day-1...him along with Bharat Karnad and those associated with the project. Ajay Shukla has been there always, though he never critiqued the tyejas-bashers as harshly as saurav jha often did, neither did he critic the UPA for sabotaging the project, as far as i remember!

ok...so only the aerial display has been cancelled...can it be because of tech glitches? seems less likely given that there are 3 fighters, any one of which cud perform! so maybe the reasons are positive...maybe they are giving private tours to prospective buyers...nonetheless...enugh fodder for paki youtubers and Sancho to create a story bashing Tejas out of it!
