You need a dedicated aviation cluster for manufacturing aircraft, else Wuhan Virus and 69 other viruses in the stomach of the Han Chinese will disrupt our Light Combat Aircraft programme and any future fighter aircraft program.

IDRW post says, HAL chairman: Jet "deliveries" to resume in July, 4 are "ready"- IAF pilots will "soon" test fly them, 10 more to be "done" (delivered? flown? built?) before 2021 end
Ye kya baat hui. 8 are already pretty much done, 7 flown! They'll make only 10 total in 2021? 😐 ..or total 14 meant for 2021?

1st case leaves 5 more for 2022, before trainer delivery commences.

It's high time that Madhavan should resign. No sense of urgency or doing something extra for country, even when enemy's at the gates. We can have that post given temporarily to Yogi Adityanath to assess the situation and make HAL work like Dassault.

4 + 10 additional in 2021
On the production of a batch of 20 Tejas jets called the ‘Final Operational Clearance’ version, Madhavan said, “We have to produce 10 more of these, which will be done this fiscal.”

Separately, four jets are ready and IAF pilots will soon be coming to Bengaluru to fly these away from the Tejas facility. He said the production of trainers, part of 83 jets ordered for the Tejas Mark1-A version, would commence next year (2022-23 fiscal).
Unsure why they say 20 FOC jets- when only 16 are on order, 6 have apparently been produced which is why there's 10 more to go. The first FOC is already with the IAF, another four are ready for delivery, the sixth must be close to being fully ready.

Also, the last 10 FOC will be produced this fiscal ie by March 2022, not by calendar year 2021.

Criticizing HAL is foolish. HAL is doing excellent work despite the Wuhan pandemic. They delivered Tejas IOC within the timeline and the same will happen with Tejas FOC as FOC will also be delivered before April 2022.

HAL has been asked by IAF to deliver 8 jets/yr which they doing well. In the next 2 years, HAL will deliver 16 Tejas trainers so there is no point to criticize HAL.

HAL in fact significantly outsourced Tejas assembly parts which is a very good move in order to bring the private player to Aerospace.

Only IAF deserves criticism here. They could have the order of at least 16 Tejas FOC as Mig-21 has been falling from the sky for the last 20 years. Stupid IAF ordered only 20 FOC but the difference between both variants is massive so FOC had deserved more orders than IOC.

No. Only this part is correct.
Suppose if HAL delivers 40 Tejas in 2 years with massive investment and workforce then they will have to sit idle for the next 2 year and have to pay salary with her own pocket. this would be a good example of bankruptcy. The whole defence ecosystem is largely dependent on how the Armed forces run it. Private player will also run away if Armed forces keep on giving piecemeal/ inadequate orders.

Ok.HAL is a state of the art world class company..
They can sell their game changer products in world market and get serious money..
Why rely on ungrateful IAF ?

People criticizing HAL can answer why were HAL employees not vaccinated as FLW?
If that would have been done a lot less HAL employees would have got affected and lot less would have died.
There wouldn't have been 2/3 weeks of closure.

Indian military was vaccinated early. So should have been the agencies who supply and support them.

Not only you have to look after the teeth but also have to look after the tail too.
