I may sound stupid also may be irrelevant from current topic but only to satisfy my childish knowledge just have one query

The Jet engine we are using in Tejas LCA of general electric has trust of 45 to 85 KN and that of kaveri engine is of 65 to 75 KN so why are we not assembling it just for not fulfilling the requirements of 85 KN

We all know that we never go or try to touch the max speed in any vehicle

Again sorry for being idiot or ignorant on many avionic concept
F404's 55/85kN combat Thrust is reliable & stable.

While 55kN dry thrust on Kaveri was a decent achievement the targeted wet thrust was not achieved. Even the 75kN was not stable. Its 200kg heavier besides.

Kaveri was a stepping stone to future development, but not upto the mark for operational deployment.

Godrej Aerospace manufactured actuators for LCA-Tejas cleared for production

Godrej Aerospace announced that company manufactured actuators for LCA-Tejas were successfully tested across all altitudes and speeds of operations on 28th May 2020 and now they have been cleared for production by the ADA and HAL. Actuators were originally designed and manufactured by ADA/DRDO earlier but as production is ramped up, it was decided that Private defence sector companies like Godrej Aerospace will take over the manufacturing of them. State-owned defence manufacturer Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd already has significantly increased the involvement of private companies in manufacturing Tejas combat jets and has already roped in private players to make key components for LCA-Tejas Mk1 and Mk1A fighter jet when they enter production. L&T is making wings of the LCA-Tejas Dynamatic Technologies Ltd the front fuselage, or main body, VEM Technologies the centre fuselage, and Alpha Doca the rear fuselage.

It was not 200kg heavy according to last published twr. 7.8 twr is very decent.

Does G Force pull on Pilot depends on his/her flight maneuvering or the alloted thrust they are told to operate on

And how much G force one experience on Tejas

What about the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas?

In LCA, we have five major suppliers. We have to get equipment from them. That is getting delayed. But they too are hit…everyone is hit.

Sixteen LCAs have to be delivered to the Indian Air Force (IAF) this and next financial year. We will still try to meet the requirements. We got FOC (Final Operational Clearance) in February 2019 and the first squadron was formed in Sulur within 12 months.

That was an achievement. At present, one aircraft is ready to fly out to the base and five more are on the assembly line. We are confident...but we have to see how it works.

Has the LCA manufacturing capacity been enhanced?

Once the order for 83 aircraft is placed, our manufacturing capacity will also be increased to 16 aircraft per year.

Currently, the second line set-up is almost completed and we can enhance even now. Once we get the orders, that will have a three-year lead time.

It has to be designed and developed as new systems have to be added on the aircraft. We expect the final clearance by October or December this year.

May not be fully FOC but their IOC jets getting BVR capable instead, or in process of recieving full software update... If IOC-FOC difference is indeed just upgraded weapons & flight software (other than the refueling-probe ofcourse) then this could be FOC as well.

You understand i'is impossible to be 100% certain.
The only physical Difference between IOC and FOC standard is external refueling probe and for that too internal plumbing is complete, only the probe which is plug and play which can be fitted with little efforts and flight testing is all that is required.

Apart from that internally it's just software upgrade which can be upgraded within a few hours and then flight testing for the same. This software will open up complete flight envelope and all the BVR capabilities. Software upgrade to existing IOC frames could be complete by now seeing that we are heading for a 2 front war and every plane would count...

Here I also want to clear that SP-1 and SP-2 are internally different and I don't know if these could be upgraded to full capabilities or not. If they could somehow it will be great....
