Nope. I think they're doing for podded gun!
It's ridiculous that ADA didn't test/fix this such a trivial thing until the shit hit the roof.
What do you reckon, how long will ADA take to integrate that gun?

Literally ZERO evidence for this. Internal canon is the only plan ADA has for LCA and have tested this only.

How is this true? All SPs have been seen fitted with internal canons.
Cannon was only slated for FOC. FOC production hasn't started.
So, not sure what you're saying!!!!!
If IOC SPs had cannons fixed to them, they'll either be removed or never be used!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tested doesn't mean 'success'!
Cannons were tested and deemed inappropriate & delinked from FOC!!!!

All SPs delivered so far have internal cannons fitted. No evidence for pods as you say, internal canons are what is intended and what will come.

All SP's have internal cannons. There are no podded guns and neither there is any plan. Gun vibration tests have shown strengthening of mounting structure is required to reduce vibration. All tests have been carried out and ADA/HAL exactly know what is required here. IAF has delinked guns from MK1 which is fine instead of delaying the IOC/FOC again. This approach should have been taken long time back , we would have had Tejas in huge numbers. Guns will be taken care of MK1A or perhaps interim.

Too much time have passed out after the static test news. Its not just mounting. It can be fixed and tested in matter of nonths. There is some serious issue which people are not coming out with. This may end up just like kaveri fiasco.

No one cares much about the gun - otherwise IAF wouldn't have given FOC.

Internal gun is now only for Mk2.
Mk1/Mk1A I think are going for podded guns - quite a shame!

Question:
Shouldn't a wing/fuselage mounted gun-pods have the capability to autoaim (a mini CIWS) at targets within a 30° cone? ..like attack choppers?
