Partnering with US companies is almost equivalent to trading your soul with the devil. Everything they do has ulterior motives. Heavy reliance on the US industries will almost certainly destroy India's indigenous defense capabilities, which I suspect is what the US wants.
While at my job, apart from being refused to witness the blade fitment process, we were not even allowed to see things as essential as the alignment of the shaft assembly or even provided with a basic manual describing what was what.
Essentially everything was a black box to us, we just learned to start the turbine and clean the ducts and the coolers and I suspect this is what might be happening with weapon systems being provided to the Indian military.
We are not future rivals of Americans.
Just ask yourself will Americans have enought strength to take on both india, china & don't forget Russia.. NO..
They want some more orders of other equipments as well.. they want to arm twist india..they need india for future india doesn't see them as Chinese do. We see them as a big trading partner, leverage over Russia and alot more
Anyone with basic will tell US cannot take on india china Russia at once. And india is becoming even more stronger and stronger infact we are going to become a very large economy in some decades...
Americans have some interests which are not fullfiled I see this drama happening after army dropped it's 11 Apache order plan.. 8 are enough even air force chief has said no need to import any such attack helicopters india is self reliant now.. or it could be other American interests which they want to be fullfiled... Even we can see some statements from India over brics currency after this punnu kalesh...
