Last report was abhi was posted in Rajasthan....and will fly mig21 bison...It seems Abhi was a Sulur, could it be Wing Co. will be flying the Tejas, very likely. Would be great asset to have an exprienced badass to push the Tejas and hone tactics.
Reply is there in the report itself. How can they bring down they price this much? Are they excluding any subsystem in this quote or worse, were they highly overpricing in the previous quote?

Don't think maintenance was included in previous price either. Both figure 450cr and 275 cr are base pricing. It was about HAL quoting ridiculously high man hour prices iirc.Reply is there in the report itself.
The 275 cr would be excluding the maintenance and other aspect of the deal. On other aspect one is the infra cost.
Now it is understandable that no one wants to pay for infra buildup as a addon on any product. But cutting the maintenance means another headache in building.
:biggrin2::bounce::bounce::biggrin2:more power to HAL unions...... Let the indefinite strike work indefinitely. My prediction they will fold up in a matter of hours once they realize that the nation hardly misses their absence.Talks fail, HAL employees threaten indefinite strike
Alleging gross disparity in workmen salaries and perks, employees of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd have threatened an indefinite strike at all the nine divisions countrywide.
The strike is spearheaded by the All India HAL Trade Unions Coordination Committee (AIHALTUCC). Employees say while officer wages have seen a 35% rise in gross pay and 110 to 145% hike in perks, the management has offered workmen a meagre 6% growth.
Talks between the committee and the HAL management on Saturday failed to reach a consensus. Later, the chief convenor of AIHALTUCC proposed to the entire nine divisions’ unions for an indefinite strike to achieve more than 15% fitment and 35% perks with all other demands.
The decision to launch an indefinite strike was later communicated to the management.
HAL had maintained that there was no justification in the demand to extend the benefits (fitment benefit and allowances) on par or more than the executives, when the salary revision of executives was effected from January 1, 2017, after the stipulated 10-year period.

Many of those production lines have no work and sit idle. The management complains about not having enough work and the labour complains about not making enough money for doing nothing. At this point just part the entire thing to the private sector. It is a lost cause.:biggrin2::bounce::bounce::biggrin2:more power to HAL unions...... Let the indefinite strike work indefinitely. It was there in the first contract along with infra cost. MoD pegged the deal at 50k Cr along with new infra setup.Don't think maintenance was included in previous price either. Both figure 450cr and 275 cr are base pricing. It was about HAL quoting ridiculously high man hour prices iirc.

Out of 50k cr almost 37k cr was base price for mk1a at 450cr per aircraft now it has been reduced to 22k cr at 250-275cr per aircraft. It was there in the first contract along with infra cost. MoD pegged the deal at 50k Cr along with new infra setup.
Well he might start with Mig-21. After a few sorties, either he'll go onto Rafale training or MKI or Tejas.Last report was abhi was posted in Rajasthan....and will fly mig21 bison...
............
Adding further 35k crore for full deal means 5 billion dollars at 70 rupee a dollar.Out of 50k cr almost 37k cr was base price for mk1a at 450cr per aircraft now it has been reduced to 22k cr at 250-275cr per aircraft.
So the over all deal now with maintenance infra etc is 22k + 13 k = 35K instead of 50k before.
The news was doing round in IAF circle that why should client pay for infra buildup.Out of 50k cr almost 37k cr was base price for mk1a at 450cr per aircraft now it has been reduced to 22k cr at 250-275cr per aircraft.

Tejas is multirole. Ofcourse it's capable of CAS and can fire rockets with s8 pod. Btw lch can also do that and probably will suit much better for firing rockets at slower targets. For CAS role, were there any tests carried out for firing rockets from Tejas ? Does tejas have this capability ?
Thanks for the photo Bhai...

An old pic with
100s ?? They have 50 block 1 and 50 block 2. Additionally they have ordered 12 single seater and a few trainers to tide over the time till block 3 comes into production. Is it possible to produce Tejas by Pvt companies too.. along with hal
Pakistan has 100s of jf17
Because both pac(pakisPak) and caic (China ) are producing
Wiki says they have capability of 25/year100s ?? They have 50 block 1 and 50 block 2. Additionally they have ordered 12 single seater and a few trainers to tide over the time till block 3 comes into production.
So, about 100 to 110 jf17 were produced in 11 years ( 2008 to current year). The average is about 10/yr. Not an extraordinary feat by any means.
