suggestions?
Make HAL work harder by:
1. linking incentives for top management with performance. I had posted years back HAL stock had declined by 30% since IPO, yet no action against their MD
2. Privatize more of it so that market participants can get seat on board and push their employees. Government can continue to hold majority to protect important IP.
3. Have retired IAF officers be part of HAL board. HAL is mostly a one customer company, yet ironically that customer has no say in how the company should run.
4. If the above are too difficult, just hire a consultant to give suggestions on improving productivity and implement their suggestions.

Again, I will repeat my question, has HAL ever claimed that the delay in delivery of LCA is because of delay in payments? Or are you making this stuff up?

Which Helo was ever delivered before time? Dhruv? Did you read the CAG report about it?
Padh lo

As for LCH, you are yourself telling how stupid HAL is. They want to deliver LCH without even orders. but won't deliver LCA which was ordered years ago. Because this is so intelligent behavior, isn't it? Do you also do this? When someone in your company asks you to work on a project, you delay it and instead deliver something else which was not even asked of you?

Also why doesn't the shortage of money argument comes for LCH? If HAL is so short of money that they can't deliver LCA ordered years ago, how were they able to deliver LCH which is not even ordered?

I am salty because not a single LCA has been delivered in last 2 years. And yet you fanboys have the nerve to defend HAL. This is called defending for personal reasons. Please continue defending the overpaid and underworked lazy morons of HAL.
bro that report is from a decade ago all the services are currently happy with HAl's helo delivery schedule(do a google search).
Has hal failed to deliver mk1 in time? yes and tarmak7 has good interviews about them do watch em.
while i havent seen any report citing cash crunch for LCA delay HAL was in a poor financial condition just 2 years back due to non payment by customers which seems to have been solved.
There shouldnt be any comparison between LCA and LCH.....the complexities and costs for both are way different.
HAl's past performance has been very bad but recently there has been many good news wait and see how they handle mk1a order then piss on we will help u

Suggestions made are general suggestion for PSUs vs Private enterprise. Its very good to play blame game on how India was kept on socialist values for so long and who is to blame for it but this is not the forum for it so I wouldn't wanna digress. And still if u wanna have some insight just follow whats happening with OFB and how a tradition pushes unions to go on strike in middle of war clout. Its neither a single government issue nor that no work is going on that. All these discussion can be taken in proper forum.
3. Have retired IAF officers be part of HAL board. HAL is mostly a one customer company, yet ironically that customer has no say in how the company should run.
IAF and whole Defence System in India have always been import centric for far too long. The people who pushed for that should be kept out of it in my opinion. U r welcome to differ. I won't argue on same. Currently for past atleast half a decade current Defence brass are kept involved in many projects. So that is already happening.
4. If the above are too difficult, just hire a consultant to give suggestions on improving productivity and implement their suggestions.
Being done for OFB. If thought to be required will be done for HAL as there is no reason to ignore one if already being done on other.

Guys plz, PSU thread.

Plus the you can see that chap can't understand difference between holdup due to ADA's R&D timeframe, or HAL's private partners not keeping up... or between different divisions in HAL.

The chatter of addition 30-36 LIFT order got confirmed to be true & you chose to waste your bandwidth on this instead?

Welcome to the club. Happened to me in previous cases.
he does that to many of my questions as well...lets see what happens im not holding my breath
Nah I get it. He used to blabbermouth a bit, but then had to leave twitter multiple times, probably due to pressure... Now he keeps it subtle.

This is what he gave me a few days ago, totally out of the blue;

I asked him the same thing, about whether the Derby that was tested was just an enhanced Derby or the I-Derby ER..he just liked my tweet but didn't reply. Clearly he can't openly state things that are probably not meant to be revealed just like that. But will look out for hints in his tweets. :)
Well well well , lad from peedf is here .

Yup..have been hanging out at that dump to spread more correct information about our programs..but it's a cesspool over there with an army of mental midgets all posting turd after turd.
@MirageBlue I know it is tough being an Indian handle over there.
Lots of bigoted pigs exist there. Especially an mentally messed up handle @Dalit.
That bugger's favourite line for Indians is 'I will wring your vegetarian necks'.
Needs an ATGM up his a**.

You are doing good work there given the limitations of that forum and the mostly biased mods.

That is correct.. The LCA Tejas "modified fighter" is shaped for better area-ruling coef. & significantly lesser drag all over the flight envelope. I sincerely hope that the Mark1A rolls-out in this chubby cute fuselage.

Here's some stuff you chaps haven't seen before. Look at the area of CS streamlining..View attachment 87410View attachment 87413View attachment 87412
In my opinion, Aerodynamics improvements (Canopy, Rare part of Fuselage, Payloan Redesign) ,Air intake improvement, Weight reduction, RCS reduction holds the key. They will determine whether Tejas will be a good fighter or a very good fighter. With the Arrival of Astra Mk2, New GAN based AESA and new EW suite , Tejas shall provide Top class capability with 50% to 60% price.
