First Commerical Launch by NSIL
TeLEOS-2 is a Singaporean Earth Observation satellite built by ST Electronics (Satellite Systems). It carries a made-in-Singapore Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) capable of providing 1 m resolution data. It will be equipped with a 500 GB onboard recorder for recording the data captured and a high speed 800 Mbps downlink.

TeLEOS 2 [ST Engineering]
TeLEOS 2 is a Singaporean SAR Earth Observation satellite. It is built by ST Electronics (Satellite Systems).
The satellite is built on a bus based on the TeLEOS 1 optical earth observation satellite and is to operate in conjunction with this satellite. TeLEOS 2 carries a made-in-Singapore Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payload capable of providing 1 m resolution data. It will be equipped with a 500 Giga Bytes onboard recorder for recording the data captured and a high speed 800 Mbps down link.

With PSLV-C55 mission, Isro uses new rocket integration technique to cut time

NEW DELHI: Isro is gearing up for the launch of PSLV-C55 mission next week and the lift-off is likely on April 22. Unlike previous launches, this launch is unique as integration of different stages of the rocket has been done in an innovative way to help reduce time in the assembly process. The PSLV-C55 is also the first rocket to be integrated at the new PSLV Integration Facility (PIF) and is said it will put a Singaporean satellite in space.
During previous PSLV missions, the entire space vehicle was integrated at the first launchpad with the help of the Mobile Service Tower (MST). However, Isro is following a new approach with the PSLV-C55 mission as the first and second stages will be integrated at the PIF centre and will be transferred to the first launch pad via the new mobile launch pedestal (MLP).
The new approach will allow the partial integration of a PSLV vehicle even if the first launch pad has been preoccupied with another launch and thus helps increase the launch frequency and allow the space agency to launch more missions in less time.
Isro’s workhorse PSLV or Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle is the third-generation rocket. Since its first successful launch in October 1994, it has emerged as the “reliable and versatile workhorse launch vehicle”. It has till now launched about 297 customer satellites for 33 countries to the low earth orbit (LEO).
In March, Isro’s heavy-lifter LVM3-M3 launched 36 satellites of UK-headquartered OneWeb, backed by Bharti Airtel, into space and successfully placed them in orbit. The OneWeb mission was Isro's second launch of the year. In February, the space agency launched the SSLV-D2/EOS07 mission.

This is a dedicated commercial mission through NSIL with TeLEOS-2 as primary satellite and Lumelite-4 as a co-passenger satellite. The satellites weigh about 741 kg and 16 kg, respectively. Both belong to Singapore. They are intended to be launched into an Eastward low inclination orbit.

Excuse the ignorance, but how long does the POEM module stay up in space and functioning? Is the POEM that was on the PSLV launched last June( PSLV C-53) still operational? Would the payloads be transmitting info at this date?

TeLEOS-2
The TeLEOS-2 satellite is developed under a partnership between DSTA (representing the Government of Singapore) and ST Engineering. Once deployed and operational, it will be used to support the satellite imagery requirements of various agencies within the Government of Singapore. TeLEOS-2 carries a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payload. TeLEOS-2 will be able to provide all-weather day and night coverage, and capable of imaging at 1m full-polarimetric resolution.
LUMILITE-4
The LUMELITE-4 satellite is co-developed by the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) of A*STAR and Satellite Technology and Research Centre (STAR) of the National University of Singapore. LUMELITE4 is an advanced 12U satellite developed for the technological demonstration of the High-Performance Space-borne VHF Data Exchange System (VDES). Using the VDES communication payload developed by I2R and STAR’s scalable satellite bus platform, it aims to augment Singapore’s e-navigation maritime safety and benefit the global shipping community.
POEM-2
The mission has the PSLV Orbital Experimental Module (POEM), where the spent PS4 stage of the launch vehicle would be utilized as an orbital platform to carryout scientific experiments through non-separating payloads. The payloads belong to ISRO/Department of Space, Bellatrix, Dhruva Space, and Indian Institute of Astrophysics.
