So even the so called "russian View" still limit the detection range to only 25-35 km, not to mention the range finder distance is only 15 km
Any plans for a large C17 class type aircraft by Embraer?
Brazil designs aircraft upon export market needs, thus first they need to see the niche otherwise they do not develop the aircraft.

C-390 was designed as a C-130 potential replacement, trying to fill the role for many export customers, the brazilian air force is not the main customer, it is an important customer but not the unique customer, they try to find niches not fulfilled by other companies, thus they need sucess upon export markets

Brazilian aeronautical manufacturer Embraer announced today that its agricultural aviation division has reached a new sales record. During the first eleven months of this year, the company sold a total of 63 Ipanema 203 aircraft, thus exceeding the figure for the same period in 2021.
As reported by Embraer in a press release, agricultural production during the last harvest in Brazil, which produced 271.2 million tons of grains (almost 14.5 million more than in the previous cycle), was key to the increase in orders.

The greatest demand for the Ipanema 203 comes mainly from the Central-West region of the country, where most of the economic activities of this type are concentrated. However, the volume of sales to operators in other regions has also grown recently.

Sany Onofre, Embraer's Agricultural Aviation Manager, highlighted that the sales of the Ipanema 203 also accompany a greater commitment from the entire segment, with better interactions between those who work in maintenance workshops, training schools, service providers and customers. .

"Collaborating so that everyone has their maintenance up to date, increasing the number of approved workshops and preparing new pilots are some of the essential actions for the development of the sector as a whole," said Onofre. With more than 1,500 delivered aircraft, the model is a leader in the Brazilian agricultural sector.

In this sense, Embraer highlighted the new alliances with the companies Sabri and Agroefetiva, which from 2023 will offer free consultancies to buyers of Ipanema models to optimize aircraft configuration and achieve maximum performance, according to the needs of each client.

The Ipanema 203
The Ipanema 203, the most recent agricultural aircraft developed by Embraer, incorporates substantial improvements in its design. It counts, for example, as stronger stainless steel materials and new wing parts with different geometry. These characteristics slow down the eventual wear caused by the operating conditions in the fields and reduce the cost of long-term maintenance.

In addition, the advanced aerial sprayer features a new engine hood design, with new air outlet grilles that ensure greater cooling.

The installation of the new Sustainable Aerospace Technology Innovation Laboratory arises from the collaboration between the GE company and the government of Querétaro; The equipment was funded through the State Program for the Development of Technology and Innovation (Pedeti), with which in 2022 12 projects in the aerospace industry were supported.

Queretaro, Qro. To manage technological development projects, the new Sustainable Aerospace Technology Innovation Laboratory (ITAS) was installed at the Aeronautical University of Querétaro (UNAQ).

From this place, technology projects will be developed in the management of integrated systems, called GSSI or IVHM, related to the use of data through intelligent systems, to provide the industry with a diagnosis and forecast in real time, explained the Secretary of Development Sustainable (Sedesu), Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero.

In this way, the operation, reliability and maintenance of aeronautical equipment during its life cycle will be optimized.

The installation of the laboratory arises from the collaboration between the GE company and the state government; The equipment was funded through the State Program for the Development of Technology and Innovation (Pedeti), with which in 2022 12 projects in the aerospace industry were supported.

“A laboratory in which knowledge will be generated and the talent from Querétaro will be prepared to continue at the forefront in the aerospace sector. (…) From these facilities, integrated systems technology projects, known as GSSI or IVHM, will be developed and promoted, ”he explained.

As aviation is one of the major generators of CO2 emissions, this laboratory is expected to contribute to the design of solutions for the industry to be carbon neutral.

The general director of GE Aerospace, Andrés Soler Pérez Salazar, stated that the industry has the responsibility to mitigate the emissions it releases into the atmosphere; With this objective, the laboratory will work on generating technology to influence this problem. The development of solutions, he said, will consider various aspects: technological, operational, and system.

“This solution will be given through different aspects: technology, operations, that is, how we use technological products, and the system, how we organize ourselves as a society to use those products. GE Aerospace participates in these three aspects, it is one of them that we are going to focus on here, on the development of technology, with a very clear final objective: the industry has to be zero emissions by 2050”, he specified.

EMBRAER and FAB celebrate receiving the final type certificate (FOC) for the C-390 Millennium multi-mission jet

Document confirms that the aircraft met or exceeded all requirements defined by the FAB, having achieved full operational capacity
The ceremony also marked the beginning of the important delivery of the first aircraft in the FOC configuration, the sixth FAB KC-390
Gavião Peixoto – SP, April 3, 2023 – The EMBRAERr C-390 Millennium multi-mission jet program reached today a historic milestone in world aviation. In a ceremony held at the Gavião Peixoto Unit, in São Paulo, with the presence of the High Command of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), the aircraft received the Final Type Certificate, reflecting its Full Operational Capability (FOC, in the acronym in English). Issued by IFI (Instituto de Fomento Industrial), a military organization linked to the DCTA (Department of Aerospace Science and Technology) and the body responsible for certifying aircraft for military use, the FOC certificate confirms that the project meets all the requirements defined by the FAB and that the aircraft is capable of performing all the missions for which it was designed.

“This certification places the C-390 in a select group of aircraft in the world”, says Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of EMBRAER Defense and Security. “It is a unique moment in the history of EMBRAER. The C-390 is redefining military and resupply airlift, challenging the thinking behind currently available platforms. Air forces around the world are focused on optimizing the relationship between their operational needs and their budgets, and the C-390 is the right aircraft to meet this equation.”

Developed under the strict operational requirements of the FAB, the genesis of the C-390 is in the triple propeller model, the culmination of the union of the greatest minds from academia, industry and the state. As part of the development and certification process, around 3,500 hours were flown in the prototype aircraft under the most varied operational conditions, and another 85,000 hours were performed using benches and laboratory test devices. The result, after years of development, testing and certification, is a design established to the highest industry standards.

“This is the KC-390, the aircraft that embodies the true meaning of the word “perseverance”. Wherever it is, there will be the Brazilian State; there will be the order and progress of a nation that aligns itself with the idea that the full development of democracy cannot dispense with inviolable sovereignty. Finally, I wish that these feelings of Brazilianness and pride, which we now experience, will emerge in each citizen, when contemplating the skies and verifying that the “wings that protect and integrate the country” and EMBRAER are heading together in the purpose of ensuring a future consistent with the strategic stature of our beloved Brazil”, said the Air Force Commander, Lieutenant-Brigadier Marcelo Kanitz Damasceno at the ceremony.

At the same event, EMBRAER began the delivery process to the FAB of the sixth unit of the C-390, the first in the FOC configuration. The other aircraft already delivered to the FAB will now be updated to be able to operate with their full capabilities. In addition, all aircraft to be exported will be able to receive these capabilities.

For the first time in the world, a recreational aircraft was modified for rescue and surveillance missions. According to Seguritech, its "Stealth" aircraft "comes in at a much cheaper cost than any other platform ever used."

The plane is in charge of monitoring crime areas, for example, pipeline areas with clandestine taps. Track stolen fuel pipes, monitor stolen auto parts trade areas and identify drug plantations.

“We put sensors such as thermal cameras, night cameras, large aperture radars, we put rafts on it to carry out rescues. It becomes a multipurpose aircraft”, explains the Director of Technology and Aeronautics, Mauricio Kleinburg.

“Stealthy”, as this glider was nicknamed, has a design based on a German aircraft called Stemme S10, has the ability to fly up to 260 kilometers per hour and rise just over 8 kilometers.

This glider has a propeller that keeps it flying for up to 10 hours; it is built with carbon fibers that make it lighter; it has solar panels that power the radios; and it can fold its wings (which measure 23 meters from wing to wing) to store in the hangar

1. Stemme Stealthy Seguritech Mexico

This aircraft is a glider designed based on a German motor glider called the Stemme S10, the engine is mounted in the center of the aircraft, and it features an unusual folding propeller that is stored inside the aircraft's nose cone when the engine is not running. use.

Engineers from a Mexican company called Seguritech, whose CEO is the businessman Ariel Picker, modified and adapted this aircraft to turn it into a multipurpose aircraft, thus managing to greatly reduce its cost compared to similar aircraft, thus reducing the risks of overpricing, indebtedness , corruption and useless spending at the public and private level.

Currently, it is estimated that the fleet is made up of more than 10 aircraft in operation, which fly over the Mexican skies in response to natural disasters, port, maritime, and border surveillance, support for police tasks, earthquakes, search and ransom etc
1683454504018.png

The Mexican plane is extremely "stealthy" -hence its name- since when it reaches 30,000 feet it becomes a glider. It can remain in flight for up to 10 hours and helps to detect fuel theft, illegal car junkyards and detect illegal acts in general. It has also been called the "anti huachicol plane" since it has managed to help reduce the crime of huachicoleo in Mexico.

It is built with carbon fibers that make it lighter; it has solar panels that power the radios; and it can fold its wings (which measure 23 meters from wing to wing) for storage in a hangar.

The Mexican company that manufactures and markets it is called Seguritech and it is one of the leading companies in security solutions for a better future, which has also created some Security Centers or C5's in various States of the Mexican Republic.

It is estimated that outside the military sphere it is one of the largest fleets of active Mexican aircraft, which is why it is an undoubted success story for Mexican aviation, thus demonstrating that Mexican technology has good prospects in this 21st century.
